hi all.
you know how in the past we've made some pretty wild announcements that no one really understands why, or agrees with? well, ha ha this might be another one.

for a few different reasons we are going to stop selling any tickling videos on vhs tape. very soon the only format we will offer is tickling movies on DVD, and DVD only.

so! this email is kind of a warning to those that have been eyeing any of our current titles on vhs. i truly believe that within a weeks time there will be no more left. thats how depleted our stock is. the copies we have as of this minute, are the last copies to ever be put on vhs tape format. once they sell out, they are gone, forever.

so its First Come, First Serve starting now. if you want something we have on vhs, go to our website and get it now. as soon as a title sells out it will promptly be taken off or our catalog.

Current titles available on vhs are:

Some Tickled Flesh

O The Tickling
Blondes At Play
Giggles 4 Hire
Off Sweet Suffering

again. we expect these copies to last only days, maybe one week. so if you really want em, ya need to act now before they are gone. -thanks for listening. pleasant day to you.

ur not gonna believe this. we sold out of:

Micah's Tickle Torture

sorry, no more orders can be taken for MTT on vhs.

Yep, I'm sure you will get angry and confused replies. I, for one, never upgraded to DVD, so I wish you good luck with the new enterprise, but I won't be able to keep buying.

I hope it works out for you.

Will you still be offering streaming from your web site?

I have a really old DVD player will your new discs be able to play in it?

I think at last report on the news only 30% of households have DVD players so I hope your decision is a wise one. For me it does not make that much difference. Good luck.

thanks daryl. we appreciate your comments. don't worry. sooner than you think you'll be buying a dvd player for your home. not because of us, but because things are a changing fast out there in the home entertainment field. lots of people have both a vhs machine and a dvd machine set up in their home.

we'll be waiting for you! 😀

kurch. thanks. no, i doubt that a "really old" dvd player will handle newer dvd codecs. and you make a good point. you are right about less than half the homes having them. but i think its up to about 40% nowadays. we realize we're going into this venture a little bit early. we've thought it over for months now. we're prepared to have less sales for a while. thats the beauty of not having to rely on our tickling business to provide all of our income. take care. 🙂

Actually, TIB, it's possible, and indeed probable, that his DVD player WILL play DVD-R discs, since they're spec'd to do so. DVD-R falls in line with the DVD Specification in it's early forms. Ain't it great when you can be wrong about something that benefits you? 😉

Why would I know? You know a bit of that already. I did work on DVD playback software and hardware in my career.

Oh, and FWIW, kurchatovium makes an assumption based on data for television playback of DVDs. Most new computers, and indeed many from manufacturers as far back as '97 had DVD playback in them. I've a PC and several Macs that play DVDs, for example. I'm certain that there's folks reading this that have DVD playback on their computers, and the privacy to view such material on them. PCs using varieties of Windows software and Linux software, and newer Macs all support this.

Do keep in mind, folks, that TIB is making the storage of your video a LOT easier. DVDs can be easily tucked away, moreso than VHS tapes, and take many, many years longer to degenerate, where VHS gets old quickly.

Compared to other formats, DVD is superior to VHS in storage size, shipping cost and video quality. While it's unfortunate that some folks still don't have a player, it's also true that most folks reading this post have bought a computer in the last 5 years. If they didn't get a DVD drive with their computer, and the software that allows playback of DVDs, they likely will now.

Way back when, there were Betacam tapes for sale from video vendors, yet you see none now. Same's true in audio format for 8-track tapes. Times change, and technology improves. I'd be surprised if, 5 years forward, you found many manufacturers that sold VHS for as cheap as they do DVD. It's just how technology evolves.

Of the folks that get online, that DON'T have DVD drives OR a DVD player (now selling for around US$150 everywhere these days) it's more and more likely that they will, soon.

Mind you, that's just my perspective, as someone that's worked within such technology, and read the forecast for adoption, and has watched it prove true so far.

YMMV...

yeah, dvnc, i agree. we know that everyone who uses TC has a pc, mac, or whatever and the chances that that computer has a dvd player are very large. so, even if only 40% of the US have dvd players, the %tage of TCs cutomers that have them is probably much higher.

check on your computer's tower. any dvd equipped pc has the 'DVD' logo stuck on it somewhere. there is also software pre installed which lets you actually watch the movie.

good move, tib. nice to see even small buisnesses moving with the times.

I had mentioned a lot that all the video companies need to switch to DVD's, beacuse tapes get worn out and shredded, and big, but DVD's are small, and stay crystal clear from the first play to the 478th play.

DVD players are getting cheaper and cheaper, and better and better and the new computers are started to include them in their standard features. I give TIB and RealTickling a BIG thumbs up for that decision. Of course, if they made some tickling videos with some awesome nude or tan colored pantyhose, they get TWO big thumbs up 🙂!

PS: Are you going to release older videos on DVD, or just the newest ones you guys produced?

I am with you all the way TIB I like DVD they are easier to store they last,I will always buy from you and now with the new DVD format probablly all the more.Good luck and keep up the good work.

HEEHEEHEE... I don't even have a VCR yet! Anybody going to hook me up with their old one? 😛

Only bad thing about DVD's... Don't scratch them up or else... Sad Times for you! They will be good for nothing.

Either way... shrug hope things turn out well.

Did anyone in the UK ever try one of RT's DVD's on a PS2? I'd be interested to know if they work.

I can't see why they wouldn't as long as you have the ability to play R1 DVD's, but I thought I'd check before I thought about buying any.

Big Jim, did you say in another thread that you had a PS2 and a DVD player? You don't happen to have tried one do you?

cool! you're my kind of traveler. 🙂 thanks for understanding. not only do they last but im amazed by the clarity of picture & sound on the Blondes At Play DVD. elke jeinsen and sara nearly came out of the screen. sara was so "large as life" and real looking.

have any of you out there NEVER watched a movie rental on DVD from blockbuster? are there some of you out there who have not had the chance to see the clarity. maybe you saw it at a friends house or something?

Actually I tried a DVD-r on my player and it didn't work at all as it is a very old player. I thought maybe TIB DVD's would be different. I usually use my computer though for all adult oriented DVD's.

I know, of course, that many computers play DVD's. I would add that though people may have these computers I know many people who do not like to use them to view DVDs because they don't have monitors big enough or good enough quality. I have a friend who absolutely hates viewing any kind of movie on his computer. For me though my monitor is big enough for me to enjoy whatever I'm viewing and in some instances I think the picture quality is a little better.
