video games in 2005

What are some vidoe games that you guys are looking forward to playing. Here are some of mine:

luckily i got doom 3 and half-life 2 and Tribes: Vengeance for Christmas, so that shortens the list.

btw, i highly, highly recommend yall get Tribes: Vengeance, it's singleplayer game is mind blowing. it was like an action packed drama fest that kept me on the edge of the seat, with an awesome ending. heck, i even cried, i give it a 9 out of a 10.

i need to get an xbox and ps2 if i want to get and play halo 2, and Xenosaga 1 and 2, so that's top priority.

I hear Katamari Demacy is coming out with a sequel
I'd like to get Kingdom Hearts or the sequel when it comes out cause it just looks pretty from what Ive seen

I have a couple of games I really want to play:

THere's a sim game called The Movies coming out in May...basically you create and run a movie studio, and you control every aspect of movie making...your leading actor hooked on coke? you better send somebody to score him some...the director is banging the leading lady and now she wants off the picture? you spring into action...not to mention budgets, casting, props, sets, advertising, etc.

And there is a Spy vs Spy game coming out in April...gotta try that one too.

Amen Ja'Qalil, Amen. I'm waiting for guildwars in march or whenever too. Me and my freinds played it on the world preview event and it was awesome. The no pay-per-month is nice to, but not like it would matter much. Alchmest also looks pretty fun.

I personally cant wait for the new MVP baseball game to be out, not to mention regular baseball season as well

Im not sure if its out but they got a new punisher game comin out, which is supposed to be like a blending of manhunt and the suffering but only more brutal, mercenaries looks good too

For now im content tho with dbz budokai 3, very addictive game...flashy...colors....::withdrawl from not seeing it in the past 3 hours:::

I got sucked back into Counter-Strike when Half-Life 2 came out and they released CS:Source. Doom what? I never finished the game, and I probably won't get around to it. 😉

Go now. Buy "Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction" for XBOX/PS2. Think Grand Theft Auto + Military. Yes, you can blow up everything.

Personally, waiting with baited breath for 'Timesplitters: Future Perfect'. I still play #2 regularly which is over 2 years old (and occasionally the original, which would be just over 4) and if what I've seen of it so far is anything to go by, it'll be absolutely superb. To bad it isn't out until April.

You can keep your Half Life's and your Halo's. They just don't stand up to Timesplitters as far as I'm concerned.

Whoa, somebody on the TT who thinks the way I do lol. Halo is nice, it has shiney graphics, superb AI, (Half Life.....ah fuck Half Life, I never liked that game.) but Timesplitters has a bigger fun factor. There's no vehicles, but there's tons of maps, tons of modes of play, not to mention AI bots, a program to make your own maps (you want to talk replay value in FPS games? this be it), tons of weapons......it's beautiful. Say, Fiend, do you know the date for timesplitters 3? I've been blowing funds like it's nobody's business, and I want to make sure I have enough cash by the time it hits stores.

one thing i have to admit is that some of the maps on halo 2 are pretty uneven. alot of people are finding ways to cheat on halo 2 making the online mode pretty bad. Bungie gotta release a expansion pack man.

Not to mention: Halo 2 sucks completely if you're sober.
Also, Halo 2 sucks because it lacks AI buts for multiplayer. What good is multiplayer without bots? It's not. No need to bother asking/answering that one
The 'flying rocket-sword' trick needs to be fixed
The 'overshield-vehicle launch' trick needs to be fixed, too
Not to mention...Bungie should just recall Halo 2 and FIX THE GOD DAMN MULTIPLAYER COMPLETELY BECAUSE THEY RUSHED IT - and add bots. I don't have X-Box live, and the ending was a total disappointment, so now Halo 2 collects dust, since everyone is bored with it. This means Bungie owes me 50 dollars. If I don't get my 50 dollars, don't expect Halo 3, because everyone who works for Bungie will be DEAD! I take it back, don't get Mercenaries. If you're one of those weirdo video game perfectionist queers, get this game. This game is impossibly difficult in the 2nd quarter of it. I've been stuck for two days!! TWO DAYS. HOW DO YOU GET STUCK IN A VIDEO GAME FOR 2 DAYS. I'll tell you how - because a bunch of retards made this game. If you like video games for fun value, don't get Mercenaries. This game is crap. It's like they just released it untested. There's no balance in the game at all. I'm lucky I got this far, some of the parts I got through on pure luck alone. Fucking IMPOSSIBLE.

Totally agree with you on the fun factor. I'm not playing any other 2 or 4 year old games religiously at the moment so it's got to be doing something right.

As far as the Timesplitter Future Perfect release is concerned, I don't think anything is set in stone yet, but Free Radical are aiming for an April release. Hope that helps.
