Thanks everyone for the support. We do try to do the best we can but things always seem to crop up to keep us from our goal. I guess that's all part of life. This past month FTKL had a death in the family. I guess things really do run in threes. I also had a death in the family earlier in the month. As you all can understand these did set us back a bit.
We only have 4 pages left to complete for issue 3 so we should be done pretty quickly. At least that's what I thought this morning. I had an Uncle that was on vacation in Tenn. He came down with pneumonia and had to be taken by air ambulance back home to NC earlier this week. My father just called me about an hour ago to let me know he didn't make it.
The funeral will be later in the week. I also have an Aunt that's deathly ill so quite frankly my plate is pretty full.
I will tell you I'm a work-a-holic so I'll be working around these issues this week. As long as FTKL doesn't run into any problems I can promise the issue will be finished this week.
As a result of all that's happened this past month, we're going to take a break with VU over Sept. so we can get back on track. We want to get a couple of issues "in the can" before we come back so we can avoid delays in the future. During this break we have some interactive things planned that we will be doing on the TMF to keep the ball rolling. Question and answer polls, character favorite and design questions etc. Just fun stuff we want to share. We've also been kicking around an idea for a sketch contest.
Basically I want to take this time to say thanks to all the people who have and continue to support us. I also want to let everyone know that this project means a lot to both of us and we won't flake on it. We both plan on being around for quite awhile.
Every so often though, life throws you a curve.
