Hey, so I made a short little demo, inspired by Corruption of Champions and Monster Girl Quest (Don't look these games up unless you have a really open mind!). I've attached some screenshots below if you want to know what to expect.

I'm probably not gonna do any more on this since I just don't have any time to spare anymore *crying*. Still, hopefully this inspires some people to make their own games like this! You guys can even build it off what I already have if you want.

Fair warning: You have to be over 18 to download and play this. Has female upper and lower body nudity, and scenes that are not fit for non-18+ year-olds. You've been warned!

If you have RPG Maker VX Ace and want to look at this game's source code, you can get it below! Don't open this until you've played and beaten the entire demo though (you'll know when you do)! Otherwise, you're just spoiling yourself on things 😛.

This is really great xD your art in there does wonders. I've completed the demo and I wish you could continue it! One thing I notice though is I only count 4 scenes 😵 am I missing something since you said there were 5?

Same here, only got 4. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the 'wait around' option in town. For the life of me though, I can't seem to trigger anything.

That is what I just spent the last hour messing around with. I even went to every location at every part of day but still nothing. The desert is setup like it could have a random battle like the slime or goblin but I have had no luck :cry

Gah! I'm so sorry! I just checked and it turns out I'd forgotten to set the encounter rates in the Forest back to normal (since I was testing out that particular encounter). The download links have been updated, and you can copy your save file over. The last encounter you're missing is in the Forest, and is a normal encounter.

Sorry again...

Ehh.. I already beat MGQ..

I can't help but get the feeling that this won't offer me anything all that new.

MGQ is a great game though. It actually has a great story, given it's genera's tenancy to throw plot out the window in favor of... Instant gratification.

Thanks everyone 🙂. The battle system is really basic admittedly. I wanted to add skills and status ailments and fun things like that, but this was more just to push it out and hope someone else likes this enough to make something similar but more in-depth.

Cryptic7, it's only really MGQ in the sense of both having monster girls (and consequences for losing to those monster girls). Plus the focus is on tickling, which MGQ doesn't really cater to all that much.

I know. I meant that the particular style would be nothing new. Just MGQ with some new monsters and a different context. I'll probably try it anyways someday. Just not today.

A very nice demo with cool artwork and nice losing scenes!

A pity you don't want to continue it (or don't have the time). with some additions to the battle system and some quests/story it could become a cool game!
(...although I bet most players wouldn't even mind if you'd just add more battles xD)

I loved the tickling scenes. All five of them were intense, imaginative, AND illustrared by beautiful artwork. As an added bonus for me personally, several of the monster girls involved were among my favourites, and were used in just the right way...

By the way Mellow, I understand perfectly your decision to abort any further development of this project in a "real" game. I think that ultimately, the Monster Girl Quest game format is very demanding. It is only good for a plot-heavy game with lots of text, plus it needs a lot of custom art and of course the story has to be good and captivating on its own... all things considered, it's a very big effort for just one person. Still, I hope that you will find the time and will to do another demo, some day, because I really enjoyed this one.

Hey Mellow. Wanted to wander in and congratulate you on putting out a demo. I'm sure a lot of us contemplate writing or drawing or making a game, but you actually put something out, which I know takes a ton of effort. Kudos, its a nice demo. I haven't encountered all the scenes, but the 3 I have found are well written, and the visuals are a very nice touch. Thanks for sharing this, it was pretty awesome!
