Was this a ghost?

So we went to Lewisburg, WV for a few days..stayed at the General Lewis Inn...the wing in which we were staying...a two bedroom suite..was part of the original building..built in 1829..rope beds...really high up..had to uh...use this step like thingie to climb into bed...it was the sight of some Civil War action...with General Lewis involved..anyhow...the first night i say to DAvid..if the General is standing over my bed in the middle of the night..i'm out of here..there was a table by my bed...and i had placed various things on it..including two hair bands..and i kept the room way cool, for my hotflashes et.al...anyway the next morning..after i've dried my hair..i go to pick up the two hair bands, to decide which to wear..and the red one is wet..not drippy wet..but damp wet..and it's the type of material that changes texture when wet..and it felt rather wet..so i picked up the other hair band..and although it wasn't as wet, it was damp in places..nothing else on the rather large table was wet, damp or anything..i showeed them to David...nothing leaked..nothing from the ceiling..so hubby then said..."Maybe the General peed on them during the night" hmmm...and this morning i woke up with the afghan over me..the General again? cuz david hadn't done it..hmm a friendly ghost..except for the peeing part...was it a ghost??

A peeing ghost..? :lol
If you look too hard, you can find a ghost at the root of every problem. Especially if you pre-suggest the idea to yourself. 😉

actually i'm not pre uh suggestive..i quit believing in ghosts after dad died, and never came back like he said he would...

but a peeing ghost now that's something..giggles..

When I die, I'm going to have lots of fun going from house looking for VHS or DVD copies of the movie "Poltergeist", turning on my victim family's home entertainment system and playing it at full blast at 2AM!

Seriously, buildings that old are notorious for having weird stuff happen. Not entirely certain what to make of it, but I've gotta wonder.

Did the urine glow in the dark?

But seriously, I think the only logical explanation for all of this, is that it was in fact the ghost of General Andrew Lewis.

As a matter of fact, it did indeed glow in the dark...it was bright red...rather strange to see this red flow coming from nowhere...hmm...should have slowly appeared, like the Cheshire Cat..

I am positive there was a ghost , but the hair bands were probably just more conductive to condensation.

There's no such thing as ghosts. Maybe the aliens mistook your hair bands for their particular type of toilet.

If ghosts exist I'm going to be very angry at whatever power that rules the afterlife. Spirits need to rest not linger in life and it's the responsibility of the powers what is to make sure they get that rest!

That was something strange Izzie!

sooooo......

Who you gonna call?!!!!

Most paranormal activity is nothing more than people not knowing how something is happening... Like a door being opened on it's own, it's often nothing more than the house settling from temperature change... Chances are your bands just got exposed to moisture in the air or something.

I'm sorry about your Dad, however I think you shouldn't lose faith over it.

Other than the faith thing, I have to completely agree. If ghosts were real, one would think about how you never actually see one, or how it doesn't leave some kind of testable evidence behind.

Really, what is a spirit? Is it affected by gravity, and the other physical laws? Why are ghosts supposedly bound to the places they died? How are spirits (most notably; "demons") able to enter and leave the physical realm without introducing exotic particles/tearing a hole in space-time/heating up a room to the temperature of the sun/causing time-dilation in order to "jump" between dimensions? Are they made up of completely new photon-like particles that somehow manage to carry the sentient mind of the recently-deceased and somehow escape the photon's attribute of always moving at the speed of light? How do they change directions? How do they supposedly replenish themselves from "drawing" heat from the room? How do they do anything except slam into whatever's in front of them at the speed of light, due to being photon-like particles, ending their existence as an "eternal spirit" because they were just absorbed as photons?

From now on, I'm just going to refer to ghosts as "sentient photons". :lol They seem to be able to selectively obey certain laws of physics, while completely ignoring the others. I have a wild idea: if ghosts are real, I say we put them into generators and power the united states for free, at the cost of a few rooms being slightly chilly. :lol

----

On a less-silly, but still somewhat-silly note, I've noticed on shows like "Ghost Hunters" that ghosts supposedly emit some form of electromagnetic radiation. Ignoring the above rant, this attribute is the first that makes sense. So... why hasn't anybody tried to create an electromagnetic field to contain a ghost? If ghosts are just some form of electromagnetic radiation, you should be able to contain them. So, I want everyone who claims to have seen ghosts to try a little experiment. Next time you see a ghost, run to your refrigerator, grab a couple of magnets, and wave them around the ghost to see what happens. :lol
