watching clips using a mac

hi i seem to have trouble watching movies on quick time player, or windows media player....or any movie clip streaming software on my mac! whenever i click on a clip or try downloading one it comes up as a bunch of meaningless script. can anyone help me?

Download the GOM player. It'll play anything.

How old is your Mac, I use an IMac intel core duo and have no problems at all, whatever you do DO NOT by anything that says WINDOWS on it, total JUNK! Maybe it's time Santa brought you a new Mac....🙂
