Hey this is my first post and my first time on the site and the video clip section is naff compared to the Ezboard. I dont know what it is. can anyone tell me what it is? although the clips in this section are very good and i think we are all awaiting Real Ticklings new vid clip.

hmmm

naff = weak, lame, not as good.

foley, there are less clips here, as opposed to the old Ez forum, due to the lack of places to host clips for free. 6 months ago the web was still the darling of investors. So lots of places were offering free hosting. Now with the tech crash all the cash has dried up, and so have the host sites. So with few places to post, few clips are placed here. It sucks, but little can be done.

We continue to suggest that users take advantage of the webspace they get for free when they buy internet access.

Ah, I figured it meant something like that......hmmmmmm, naff....that's a cool word. I should use it more often.......

i thought it was something to do with that. could you not use something like Geocities? and post your files there and link to them? good idea? thats what i would do.

and you americans not use naff? yeh its a cool word

We need to get this clips section up and going big shout to all you TMF visitors to post some clips using free webspace. come on lets really get this section going again

Geocities

Geocities, Like it's owner Yahoo! Doesn't allow crosslinking. Meaning you can't post a direct link to something stored on their servers. makes them all but useless for use of the TMF and places like it, which is basically the reason why they have the policy. To limit bandwidth usage...

Damn, well it was worth a try, what types of sites could you use then?
give a list so other peeps can see what is available

Ok

The problem is that there are almost none.

Basically ones personal AOL, and Earthink Webspace is linkable. I have no confirms on AT&T, Roadrunner, or MSN.

Aimster...... foleymnufc

A lot of us have taken to using Aimster to trade and acquire clips. It's relatively simple. Just "Search" for tickling...and work off the results, or use our screen names and catch us when we're on (WAY too much...lol). I can only give you my own, of course, but as you visit the Aimster site you'll acquire many others. Look for me.... just add "qjakal", without the quotes of course to your buddy list, and you'll know when I'm on.... Aimster.com can answer any tech questions about the service. It's amazingly similar (one might say...suspiciously similar..lol) to Napster. Good luck.....oh, and Soletk has a Yahoo site with some very nice clips posted also. Look for the link on one of his posts. They work very well. Q
