I have many peices of tickling work, MPEG's, Pics, Photos and so on...

I can't rely on yahoo or geocities to run my site cause they suck ass to the NTH degree. I was wondering (to all you web-site owners) what you guys use to construct your web-sites? any information will be greatly rewarded.

(p.s= i dont wanna sound inscesed but, is socially acceptable to create tickling movies of your sister and put them on the internet just to entertain others and raise ones reputation? i mean it sounds like a good idea but you guys might look down on me for exploiting my sister)

Hi, I redesigned the Tickle Town website and personally prefer Dreamweaver MX. The design tools aren't the problem though. The major problem is the bandwidth that you have available to you and the amount you're prepaired to pay for space. You have to pay for space because otherwise you're stuck with the free sites and they are crap!

If you want help with anything e-mail me ( [email protected]) and I'll do what I can for you. I should be able to find a host for you if you tell me exactly what you want.

Hi, Mephisto. I'm sure Kursal and others will be able to help you out with your site. As for your question:

I think if she agrees to it there's nothing wrong with the idea, but keep in mind that she will be there for all to see and (how shall I put this delicately?) get off on. Just my 2. 🙂

Well I think Frontpage is a good program for beginners to novice, and dreamweaver is good as well. I don't use either for my site, but that is what I recommend. If you need a place to host the site, give me a shout, I know a host with some outstanding rates. 😉

My favorite editor would be notepad. 😛 Make a little .css file for style and you're all set to go. 😀

Well if i knew what these were and how to use them then i might be satisfied, however i don't intend on paying for anything over the net as i have no credit card (they are evil and useless) and have no intention of getting one.

Maybe if you had some help or maybe there is a downloadable page maker then i would be pleased.

About notepad. i did not understand "that guy mentioned it" maybe if you could give a step by step guide perhaps?

send help here

I can't help with hosting, but I can mention a few things about creating your pages. I'm not primarily a web developer but I do dabble now and then. Frontpage and Dreamweaver are html editors, with html being the language that web pages are written with (sorry if I'm being too remedial, but I have no idea what your level of experience is with this). I've never used either of those editors, but Dreamweaver is supposed to be the editor of choice (someone can correct me if I'm wrong). I don't think either are free, but it's possible they have a free trial.

Revolter mentioned notepad, which I use sometimes, too. He meant using notepad (which comes with windows, under accessories) to write html documents. You have to save the files with an extension of .htm or .html. If you did that, you can even save them on your local hard drive and view them in a web browser for testing. No one else will be able to view them unless you upload them to a web server (or if you run your own).

I did a quick search and found these html tutorials:
http://www.webreference.com/html/tutorials/
http://www.htmlprimer.com

I'll also mention that you can view the source of practically any page on the web to see the html that created it. Under internet explorer, go to the View menu and then click Source. Under Netscape/Mozilla, go to the View menu and click Page Source. Most of the stuff you'll see will be of the format...

<tagname option=value>bunch of text this tag applies to</tagname>

That's html. You might also see some stuff with a bunch of curly brackets and each line ended with a semi-colon. That's javascript and it's another story. Hope this helps.
