Website Help

Hey all! 😀

I'm currently in the process of making a website (not a tickle on, just a general "about me" one on Flash 8). Now, I got all the components needed to make one, Flash 8, Dreamweaver, A book on how to use these and an internet connection. But...I dunno where to start.

I am, perhaps, the most ignorant person when it comes to colours and design. I've been looking around for inspiration on other sites but I just don't have a clue.

So I was wondering if any of you more fashionable people would care to share any design tips. You know, what colours go together, what would be a good idea to have in background etc.?

Basically, I need advice! 😀

Here are two books I like:

Colorindex by Jim Krause - it has lists of color palettes (CMYK and RGB) and what they "mean" for print and web.

The Non-Designer's Design Book by Robin Williams

It might be even more entertaining if it was! She wrote a good book, mostly about organizing text and images with the four basic principles of Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity. Then she apologies for the acronym.

I'm petite and compact, not as young as I used to be, but my hubby still thinks I am lovely 😱
