How can a champaigne cork kill you?

I went and looked it up... A champagne cork generally exits the bottle at a velocity of approximately 45 feet per second! Champagne corks have been known to put eyes out... But I'd never heard of someone being killed by one. Still, if someone shook the bottle, and it got someone in a vital soft-tissue area...

Excuse my ignorance here phtfflr? I am from the South also and I have no clue what "smat" or "snapple smat" means. I have heard of the Snapple drink.....can you explain? 😛

I would never intentionally insult anyone, it's just an accent that my friends and I use. It came from the movie "Good Will Hunting". In the movie they would say that Matt Damon's character was "wicked smart" but, being from Boston, it sounded like "wicked smat",of course it helps if you know what a Boston accent sounds like and saw the movie. 😀 Well, Snapple(the drink) had trivia under their caps(like Tracy's trivia)and anyone who knows these answers were known as Snapple Smart or "Snapple Smat".
