Now this was really an exhausting sports weekend for us Germans: On Saturday, our male soccer team won their qualification round for the European Championship in 2004, on Sunday morning (6.30 am German time), the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Suzuka (Japan) was this year's final race, and Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) became World Champion for the 6th time.
After the early Sunday morning start, I thought I could at least sleep through noon, but the Munich City Marathon passed by right outside my bedroom window. No beauty sleep allowed for Hal, the cheers and noise was too loud!
And on Sunday evening, the German Women Soccer team won the final game 3:1 (versus Sweden) and the World Championship for the first time!
I'm still exhausted from this strenuous weekend! 😛 😎
