Well obviously they got all the money they needed for the video because TIB said he'd be giving weekly updates until enough money was collected to start serious negotiations with a celebrity.

Well, since no one else chimed in here yet I will. Due to insufficient contributions, they decided to end the entire "Famous Fund" effort.

TC Videos more than took care of those who contributed, though. (I don't think this was a supposed to be a secret, but I'm a bit surprised no one's commented on this long ago.) They emailed the contributors and offered them the option of having their money refunded or providing them with <i> twice </i> the value in credit towards a future video purchase.

Since I had planned to buy more of their vids anyway, you can probably guess which option I took. 😀 I honestly wish the effort had succeeded, and I applaud them for having tried. Nevertheless, I'm still a happy camper. They really made contributing big a win-win situation for me. 😎

Good of them. Very classy. I realize TIB didn't want to toot his own horn on what they decided to do, and I agree,
But since people are asking about it I do feel he should have at least said it was being handled.

I never doubted that TC would make good on the cash. I was very sckeptical about them getting an actual celeb. This is not due to anything on TC's part. It was due to the part of getting a celeb to participate for such little money.
Perhaps if tickling can get a little more mainstream we might have some different results in a few years. You never know until you try.

I don't remember seeing anything ever said about the refund. I didn't contribute so I am not affected. I do find it kind of funny how TIB always manages to announce the new videos very quickly and thoroughly.

hey snips. not true. we methodically and thoroughly emailed EVERY one of the people who donated by using the email addresses they gave when donating. we didn't miss or skip anyone. so perhaps you dont check the email address we have on file for you? i dont know. either way, if you donated $20 then you have $40 credit for any of our products and where happy to oblige.

or we can send you your $20 back right away. your choice.
you do have to tell us the correct information about you though in order for us to cross reference and find you on our list of donators and mark you off as "paid back" when we make good on our offer to you.


ps- for the rest who are wondering why there was no public announcement, there was no need for us to make a public announcement to everyone that didn't donate because they are not getting anything back. we only privately contacted all the donators. 🙂

I too was contacted by TC with a very thorough and corteous e-mail about my contribtuion to the Celebrity Fund. I thought it was very classy of them to do it in the way that they did it. They are the best. I too hope in the future they are able to find a ticklish celebrity to get a hold of. Great job guys.
