Pure improvisation. I sat down at the drawing board and let whatever wanted to come out make itself known. The three-digit hands, for instance, were literally made up as I was inking the pencil sketch. You can even see an error in the ticklee's right leg when I couldn't decide where to put the knee.

All the guys in King Crimson work by improv. ThrakAttak alone was undeniable evidence that they do it particularly well.
