A producer "horror story"
Like ftkl_haha, I thank you for the chance to bring some light-heartedness to our home.
Maybe the worst model experience I've ever had happened a couple years ago. I'm still a very small producer, and my home is not always all that conducive to a tickle shoot. So, I had arranged for two models to meet me at an extended stay inn for a tickle shoot. One was young and hot, the other was more experienced. I imagined a kind of "generations" shoot with them taking turns proving that her era was the best...
The young model finally arrived after about a dozen phone calls to lead her to the location. She was to have been there for about an hour before the older model turned up, to get some M/f tickling on film, paperwork, etc. She was an hour late.
"That's okay," I thought, "since model #2 should be here any time." But, I knew right away that something was wrong. Model #1 obviously didn't want to even get out of her car. I waited near the door of the building, now on the phone to #2, watching #1 stressing out in her driver's seat. This was the era of the Craigslist adult gigs forum, where it was much easier to find first-time models and curiosity seekers. Some of them made fantastic tickle victims, and I miss that source of models. "Maybe #1 is just nervous," I thought.
So, #2 pulled up and got out of her car. She was washed up. Now, I'm pretty open-minded about what makes a woman attractive. I think every woman who even tries can find her beauty and display it. Maybe it's attitude, or smile, or shopping, or even the old standby: exercise. #2 was just...not quite.
Well, #2's arrival emboldened #1 to at least get out of the car. We traded introductions all around, and I said, "Let's go inside and we'll talk about the shoot." As I turned around to lead them indoors, I overheard the cause for #1's reluctance. She whispered, "He's huge!"
I'm a big guy. A little caution with camera angles and editing keeps my clips' focus on the sweet young things getting tickled out of their minds, and not on the girth of their tickler. (There's a lot of F/f tickling at tickletouch.com, too, with some sexy, scantily-clad, skilled and devious female 'lers.) And I'm pretty sure the few customers who have requested to see me on camera (usually asking me to do...let's say...more than tickling) are in the minority. You'd rather see Elise Graves, or Taylor Jean, or Kylie, or Randy Moore, or...well, any of my models more than me. Anyway, I'm not sure "huge" is the right adjective to describe me, but there it was. "Okay," thought I, "she just needs to know what this is about, and what it is not about. No problem."
So, we go up and sit around the little table and I launch into my standard model briefing. I won't bore you with it, here. But basically, I describe what I propose to do, what I promise not to do, and find out what her limits are before I ever even turn on a camera, or touch her in any way. It's just the responsible BDSM thing to do.
As I go through the briefing, #1's eyes are getting wider and wider. She asks things like, "When you say you'll tie me down, you mean it will look like I'm tied down, right?" And, looking at #2, "You won't really touch me, right?"
Oh, my. My ad always contains things like "must be genuinely ticklish" and "open to light bondage" and is always clear that I'm looking for ticklish models for tickle fetish. Apparently, #1 thought all that was code for "I'm a hot, young stud looking to hook up."
Or something.
Needless to say, #1 bolted. She wanted nothing to do with all of this. And that's fine. As much as we producers like to portray the fantasy of hot, innocent coeds finding themselves helpless and abused with no way to affect their predicaments, that's just not the way it works. At Tickle Touch, models are mostly helpless, at times. I hope they find they are getting tickled far more than they bargained for. I even hope they genuinely want me to stop sometimes. <evil grin> But if she doesn't want to be here, I don't want her here. Intense and overwhelming, yes. Agreed-to in advance, but still with a safeword, yes. Again with the responsible BDSM'ing.
So, now I was left with model #2. She didn't fit the theme of the Tickle Touch site, but who knows? She said she had been in a number of tickle vids. Maybe it would work out okay. So, I started with the now-standard Tickle Touch "get to know you" interview.
"Today, we get to meet (model #2)," I said. "Are you ticklish?" I asked.
"More than some other directors give me credit for," she says. "They should respect me more."
"Right..." I stammer. "So, would you say you get tickled a lot?"
"Not as much as I used to, when I got hired all the time. Now, they only seem to hire the young ones. It's like, 'What have you done for me lately?' I deserve better than that."
I thought, "Is she really trying to use me to send a message to the porn directors in town? What is going on?"
"(Model #2), you're here now," I pointed out.
"Yeah, well, that's fine, I guess," she said.
Of course, in retrospect, I should never have tolerated that kind of attitude. But it was one of my first shoots, and I thought maybe it was just something I'd have to get used to. Thankfully, I was wrong. Most models are genuinely happy to be at Tickle Touch. They are often apprehensive, and occasionally reluctant. But never since have I worked with surly and vindictive. And never again...
She wasn't even very ticklish.
Trying to salvage something from the experience, I posted the heavily edited clip, anyway. It has not sold a single copy. 🙂
So that is probably my worst "horror story." One model ran away in disgust over my personal appearance, and the other berated me in proxy for selfish producers who refuse to hire grouchy models. Oh, what a life I lead!
