I think that the majority of us here know each other enough to respect the person and not care about their politics. So debate will be on the issues and not devolve into petty name calling.

Agreed. And no matter who wins, the end result will be working together to hold THEIR feet to the fire to lead this country, not just 'micromanage' it to please other nations. We need leaders in the Oval Office, not career politicians!

Best way to make a conservative liberal? Make them live in public housing.

Best way to make a liberal conservative? Help them start a privately owned business and see how much the tax burden for 'entitlements' kills their bottom line.

We need a mix of both for things to work right. As Winston Churchill said, "A young man at 20 who is not liberal has no heart. A young man that reaches 40 and is still liberal has no brain..." LOL
