What did you do before the Internet?

Ah, yes, the Before Time, in the Long long ago.

All I had to rely on was personal experiences and TV. I tried to tickle as many girls as I could. Sure I was timid, but I was a shy kid anyway.
I was too young to know what sex is back then, so that wasn't a problem. Now that I think of it, I don't think the net helped me out as much as you would think. I would have explored tickling my own way in a sexual context, I just never would have known that so many others were into it also.

Never imagined in my wildest dreams that there could be such a thing as a "tickling community."

But, I did tickle the women I got close to.

Good question. Remembered every TV show & commercial I saw with Tk related themes/incidents, then when VCR's came along, taped all the reruns I could find, and scoured ALL the B, C, D and even F movies at ALL the local video rental outlets. Collected a whole gob over the years. Spent alotta ca$h tho. Then there were the occasional fetish rags that would feature an article, a pic or a series of pics; some of them even looked real. Through these mags I got in touch with the fellow known as "Tobias Hackner," who I'm sure is here in one guise or another. He was among the first to bring tickle fans together in North America. I'll skip the ugly stuff. For all his faults, I was able to collect a LOT of material through him. Of course, this was done by supplying him with material (i.e. "Trading") or outright purchasing blocks of other people's work (Stories, toons & mainstream pics, mostly). This was done via snail mail, naturally. Imagine my surprise when I finally did have web access...Some of the first Tk material I saw on the web was MINE, traded to "Hackner" years before!

I've said this before, but here I go again: Thank GOD for the 'net!

In Times Square pre-Disney, there were porn stores everywhere, some of them large and diverse enough to cater to a variety of tastes -- including ticklephiles. So I could find tickling tapes and even the occasional tickling magazine there, although the prices were exorbitant and the quality was hit-or-miss.

had a real life!

i just tickled any and all the women i could.
now with the computer it's more vicarious.
i actually prefer the old days. but then, i never wanted a computer to begin with!

Did there really exist a time before the internet? It seems so long ago, although I only got into the www in 98.

I was lucky enough to find a wife who shared my love for tickling, so there was not much need for other material. But I couldn't live out all my fantasies with her, so I started writing stories about tickling.

In the early 80s, I had my first trip to the States, and I was thrilled to find things like the old HOM mags and even a few vids in those infamous sex-shops around Times Sq/42nd St NY, and around Columbus Ave. in SFO. Like so many others, I had thought that tickling was mostly my own personal quirk, and now there seemed to be a lot of other people into it!

Then, after my divorce 10 years ago, I got myself my first VCR and the first tickle vids. I found the vendors through ads in various mags, and I was added to their mailing lists.

Around 98, I stayed at a hotel which had TV with internet, and I did my first search on yahoo. One of the first sites I found was Magic Touch, then Realtickling. One year later, I bought my first computer, and since then, I've spent countless hours there.

The story of a dinosaur... 😛

I didn't do anything before that. I did fantasize. But, other than that, I did nothing related to this. I was involved in other things at the time. Like many others, I had no idea there were so many out there who shared my love of tickling. What an eye opener!

mostly videos and magazines...and the occasional human, including the one I'm married to. Boy, has this place changed my life!

For me, the "Glory Days" of tickling occurred well before the advent of The Internet. As a child in the 60's there was no lack of females willing to tickle me. High school in the mid 70's was a dry time. Too many hormones, too much self-consciousness and not enough self confidence.

Serving in the US Army in Okinawa and Korea in the late 70's, the tickling picked up dramatically. Got out in the early eighties, and found myself dating a knockout soft-spoken brunette with a wild streak in her that lent itself well to tickling.

In the spring of '83 I was sent to New York where I caught my very first glimpse of printed material devoted to tickling. That was a turning point in my life, as I previously had no earthly idea that anyone besides myself was into it.

Throughout the rest of the 80's I worked in an isolated computer facility in a remote location. Since it was usually just myself, and a computer operator (most of which were female) alone for eight hours with not a lot to do, it wasn't difficult to orchestrate ticklish situations. One fiesty little redhead to whom I introduced tickling got so into it she started tying and tickling her boyfriend/fiancé.

By the time the Internet came along in the mid nineties, I was married, and not all that socially active, so it slowed way down, although I always seemed to have a friend or two at the office whom I could count on for brief tickling sessions.

Interestingly, it wasn't until I got online that the concept of M/F tickling was introduced to me. At first it really bothered me, but soon I discovered that contrary to my own personal experience, on the internet M/F was the majority and F/M the minority. Though it took some time, I ultimately resigned myself to this disappointing reality and have learned to live with it pretty well. Though M/F still doesn't excite me, at least it no longer nauseates me as it once did.

Tickling magazines were quite rare in the old days (when I was a teenager in the 1960's); I never found any. And there were no video tapes then, either.

In 1974, the publisher House of Milan (whose magazines included 'Hogtie', 'Knotty', and 'Bound to Please') produced the first tickling photo article that I ever found. More such articles followed, but not in every issue. They eventually discovered that the market would support a magazine devoted to our preference, 'Tied and Tickled'.

I drew scenarios that would satisfy my tickling cravings as well as try and tape ocurrences on the television. See them in the movies if possible. Lastly, try to remember excellent tickling scenes I had seen in my day to day life. 😀

Im with limeoutsider. There is nothing that I could do back then. There was no tickling material in magazines or TV or anything, and I couldnt just go around asking my friends to tickle me either, its more harder been a lee surrounded by vanillas not knowing there are others out there like you, where as a ler can tickle all he/she wants without any vanillas suspecting that it excites that ler in certain ways, for a 100% lee, your lucky to have a friend who is tickle crazy, if not you have to wait for the oppertunity to come to you, and that may never happen. In those days, all I could do was dream. Today, thanks to the internet i know that there are others who like the same desires as i do but appart from this, nothing has changed.

Actually back them....dating myself here.....prior to the net, there was only the adult book/video shops in NYC...the publications:
Fetish Times,Tickling Times,B&D Pleasures and a mess of others that had personal ads were about the only method of contact and corespondance available. They also had photos and stories etc. . There were videos as well by Harmony, Cal Star, Maybird, NuVue and others as well but you had to take what you could get without getting a chance to preview them before hand until Kinematics allowed you to preview tapes for a fraction of the cost of the vid.

As far as the personals go in those publications, I did meet a few people and had some great times!

Thank the powers that be for the internet!

As a kid I started an astronomical number of tickle fights with anyone I thought might exact revenge in a similar fashion. When I got older I would persuade my friends to take turns tying each other up as a form of sexual experimentation, and then I would add tickling into the mix hoping that they would do the same to me when it was my turn to be tied up. It never crossed my mind to ask someone to tickle me, it was just something I got people to do just by pressing the right buttons.

When I first went online, it never occurred to me that I could search for tickling any more than it ever occurred (which was never) that there might be magazines, videos and so on that would have that kind of content. I used to just playfully offer to tickle people, or ask if they were ticklish on various message boards. If no one had ever asked me if I ever fantasized about being tied up and tickled, I probably still would not know that any of this existed. LOL!

ditto. didn't even know why I was fascinated with tickling all of my life until I found a fetish page on-line. Then, the "light came on" as they say.

Thank God for computers and the lnternet!!!
