what does a guy gotta do to find a decent pair of pants?!?!

years ago as a teen i discovered a really awesome pair of pants in a local store. i bought them, wore them, loved them, and when they were old and torn up i threw them away and bought another pair. when that pair was worn out and torn and old i went back to the same store to get another pair of these pants that i loved so much, only to find they didnt have them. i went back over and over through the years and they NEVER had them again. i dont even know what style the pants were, which is aggravating. ive looked online in numerous places trying to find them only to be unable to find them there either. why?! i want these pants so badly, and i cant find them! i found a tan pair in walmart, but not the oh so amazing black ones i wore as a teen! they werent my size either, or id have bought them for the hell of it. why must it be so hard to find these amazing and comfortable and cool ass pants?!?!?!


EDIT: figured i might as well describe them, in case anybody here knows what im talking about and knows where i can find them in various sizes.

they're made out of really soft fabric, not like jeans but not like cashmere either. they dont have any fancy thing with the waistline like some do, just ur generic 1 size pants. they have a sort of ridge, or crimping, type design, its so hard to describe, but its like long bumps that travel the length of the pants.

I have learned the hard way that, if I find an article of clothing that I really like, it's best just to plunk down the bucks for some spares, just in case.

I had the same thing happen with three pairs of pants I picked up on close-out at (insert name of biggest, evillest retailer in the world here), only to never be able to locate the brand/style again. I still wear the amazingly durable pants, although the pockets are held together with duct tape in spots, and several of the zippers(not the important ones) have long since busted.

I currently have on a second, brand new pair of Dr. Shoals tennis shoes that I absolutely LOVE. So much so that I am considering buying a spare pair, solely on the off chance that they stop this particular line.

I hear you loud and proud! Pony made the ONLY sneakers which fit me straight out of the box. When Pony went under, that was it for a long time. I eventually found another brand which fits me decently, but even with them I have to use leather stretcher (thank Dobbs that we have a real shoe store in town and not just the mall stores. I HATE MALLS! But you already know that!)
