For me, especially today, it's being attacked by some belligerent, and drunk/high, jackass for being the one guy to tell him he was blocking a door when people are trying to leave Chicken Express. Of course, I acted as any responsible individual, and bruised my elbow with his jaw. After a nice 3 minute wait for Arlington's finest, and a half hour chat with said individuals, it was off the to the cooler for the inebriated fellow, and off to a comfy chair in my apartment for me.
I'm sure that's a normal reaction, but there is a tad bit more to how it is that he stayed down. I followed that elbow up with a classic arm lock, knee strike to the ribs, and a lift-and-drop take-down. I'm holding his arm and leaning on his back, and the red starts pouring over my vision. Out of nowhere, I'm more than just a little flustered. I'm genuinely in a full blown rage, and my mind is going over all the different bones I could break from that position. I know that sounds weird, and a bit insane, but it's an unfortunate side effect of the life I've lived. Now, some of you know a little bit about me, so you're more than aware of my, shall we call it, interesting employment history, which will hopefully explain my state of mind.
I don't like stupidity. I don't like ignorance. But, most importantly, if your first instinct when politely asked to step aside for the nice lady with the stroller is to swing for the fences, I'm not going to be a jovial person.
So....that was my rage-inducing moment of the day. What makes you see red?
