Just curious to see how many people have met famous or semi famous people....

Many.

My father used to be business manager for the rock group Kiss in the 70s, so I met all of them.

Late tennis player Arthur Ashe. He came to a fundraiser at my college shortly before he died of AIDS.

Willie Mays.

Former mayor Ed Koch.

Members of my family, and friends, have also known famous people.

My aunt and my mom went to summer camp with Ralph Lauren.

My friend Barney used to know President Obama. Long before he got into politics, Obama was a community organizer, and Barney knew him when Obama was a customer in a retail store Barney worked in.

My father used to know Johnny Bench, Joe Namath, and all of the 70s Knicks. In fact, Bench gave me an autographed baseball that I stupidly lost as a kid.

My father went to college with Paul Simon.

My family has known many famous people.

Charlton Heston (he was a tall dude), Arnold Schwarzenegger (he wasn't much taller than me), Fergie (prior to her joining the Black Eyed Peas), Stan Lee (always a fun guy), Billy West (he was a really nice guy and funny too) and I once clotheslined Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation). We should probably not dwell on that one too much...

I have actually met and shook hands with Walter Mondale.

Actually had a chat with Dan Quayle.

Celebrity People:

I saw Arte Johnson at NBC studios. I also saw Dan Rowan from Laugh In too.

The only famous person I met was locally famous. He was a cabinet minister in the provincial government. My father at one point knew Frank McKenna however, who was briefly the Canadian ambassador to the United States.
