You become a celebrity, A-list level. How would you keep your membership on the TMF hidden? What would you do if it came out?

a) Never ever ever ever log in here again. Delete all information in my profile. Honestly if you're an A-list celebrity you probably have plenty of other ways to occupy your time anyway, I don't think you'd consider not being able to post or even lurk here much of a price to pay.

b) I think if it comes out you'd just kind of have to own it. Worst-case scenario everyone jokes about it at first and then no one really cares anymore.

I was planning on becoming an A-list celebrity BECAUSE of my TMF membership! 😉 I agree with TheGerbil. If the feathers hit the fan, you ride out your hopefully brief media roast and then prepare for your Sonicare commercial.

I'd stay here, not caring. Even if I were running for president or something, I think I'd still stay here. Tarantino came out as a foot fetishist, do you think it hurt his career? Do you think people would stop hiring Jodie Foster or Nicole Kidman if they were proud TMFers? My sexuality is no one's business; I would never "out" myself. But if I were outed, as an A-list, I'd just ignore the haters. And would be pushing for shooting an Oral-B commercial, lol 😀

On a side note, I think it is much harder for other professions, especially in the working class. Or for education staff in certain areas.

I've been linguistically trained to spot logical presuppositions in statements, so I'm all over this: do you mean Kidman might be a member here, even if she doesn't flaunt it??

Hahaha I can see we have a fan here 😉 I was tempted to respond something like "yeah I tickled the hell outta her last time I met her! She's a member here; goes by the name "sexyaussie", etc" But unfortunately I only mentioned her because I heard of her lately on the news. As for Jodie, she always will have a special place in my heart, but it is not for ticklish reasons~

The issue will metastasize for sure, so it's time to produce a movie about the characters here (paid, of course). I could already eye one or two for "drama" genre. There would be reservation for the weird ones... 😱

Depends. What kind of celebrity are you refering to? Celebrity like being a rich and famous person with a performing job in acting, dancing, singing, etc etc?

Or celebrity as in infamy (aka being publicly shamed on the net or on tv in some way)?

If it's the former, I would probably try to own it as a lifestyle choice and go on record saying the BDSM community is a legit community that is perfectly legal when practiced saftely and responsibly.

If it's the later, well, I'd probably wouldn't be alive to speak about it as I'd have devoted my life to hunting down the person who shamed me via video taping me in order to kill them in as painful a way as possible, then taking my own life afterwards just to spite the public.

as for me, I love this question BTW, if it came out, I would just accept it and see if I could use that info to make myself even more famous.

If nothing else, it would give them jokes to use at my roast.
