What is she wearing on her feet?

I was looking at pictures of a beautiful young woman working out, and I noticed these things on her feet:



I have no idea what these are. Do you know? What's the purpose? Do guys also wear that or is it a girly-only type of thing? I have asked my girlfriend, and she has no idea either. She used to go to the gym regularly and she has never seen anyone wearing that. Thanks in advance!

So if I am getting this right, she is wearing that to protect the balls of her feet? Like, to offer them a minimal protection without actually having to wear shoes, is that it?

One reason is definetly to help avoid blisters.

The other I am assuming is to help her pivot/move/slide etc. Usually when a person sweats they stick to whatever they are touching. Or slide, and can risk slipping and becoming injured. This would help avoid that.

Yeah, I've seen women wearing those on, I think, two occasions at the gym and from what I recall there was some rubbery no-slip padding on the bottom.
