I would say a foot fetish, because traditionally it has a reputation of being "creepy" and "dirty". Most people might not even release tickling is something to have a fetish about, so maybe that gives it another edge.
 
The foot fetish would probably be weirder to the vanillas. I personally dont have a foot fetish. Im not opposed to it but not my thing. But I LOVE all my foot guys! You make me feel like a queen!:justlips:
 
Ex always wanted me off her feet (they weren't ticklish) as I would try to tickle them. Seriously did nothing for her, even tried a lil foot worship and she'd pull me up to mess around with her upperbody. But when I was tickling her sides and hips, she screamed like a banshee but went with it cuz of my tickle fetish. I voted foot. Even though foot fetish seems to be pretty much acceptable nowadays, I think most "vanilla" people would go for a tickle fight than having their toes sucked.

Exactly how much tickling might be a factor, though...
 
In my experiance, people see a tickling fetish as more playful and harmless than a foot fetish. The majority of people I have run into think that feet are ugly and gross and can't understand why I am attracted to that particular area on a person.

I would say it is a matter of personal dislikes.

A tickling fetish is probably worse, if you happen to be painfully ticklish.
Met a few such unfortunate souls.
A girl in particular was terrified by it.

Foot fetish is more widely known and accepted - but as mentioned, it is sometimes considered gross or not serious.
And some tend to confuse it with femdom and its trappings, too.

That's funny, I don't understand why most people are attracted to areas that are basically glands wrapped in fat and exit doors for disgusting waste products.

I say having a tickle fetish is worse for vanilla people. As I've posted on here before, I asked many female pen pals "The Question", before I joined the forum, and most of them said they hate to be tickled. It would seem worse to me for a vanilla girl to be held down, or tied down, and tickled, than to have her feet kissed during sex.

I guess the question was: what is most inconvenient in making friends, meeting a potential mate, in having sex and so on.

Explaining the girl you've just met you would love nothing more than tying her to a bed to *tickle* the daylights out of her might sound unsettling to some.
And that is why BDSM has a lot of rules about safewords and such.
You can't just tie people, without a modicum of warning and explanation.

Foot fetish, on the other hand, is simpler and usually requires relatively less intimacy and trust.

Of course playful tickling can happen even where touching one's extremities would be impractical or inappropriate - but you can't tickle a girl the whole night through unless she loves you, loves it, and loves forced aerobic training...

I'm not a vanilla but I can tell you that I believe Psychology Today's top 25 list this year ranked a foot fetish as #1 most popular in the country. Tickling ranked 7th or 8th on the list.

(disclaimer: I say "I believe" that to be the source because I was at work and doing a bazillion things as usual while listening to the story on the radio. I am currently too worn out to research at the moment but I'd trust the source who told me with my life.)

Yep, true story! I meant to post it here for everyone back when I heard it~I know so many of the younger guys here especially wrestle with that "I'm a freak and no one understands what I need" feeling. I'll try and scare up the article when things aren't quite so hectic for me~it's an annual poll, I think it came out in October/November. It was fairly recently.

I must say, that the results of this poll surprise me. As I post this, it is 33 to 12 in the poll, about it being worse for a vanilla person if their partner has a foot fetish.

Here is how I see it: Unless a person is so ticklish, or hates having their feet played with, what is the big deal about someone having their feet kissed or played with during sex play? Feet are just another part of the body.

Tickling, as I see it, would be far worse. To have a person who isnt accustomed to tickling, and was maybe tortured by tickling in their lives, by family members or friends, have a significant other tell them they want to hold them down, or tie them up, and tickle torment them? That to me would seem much worse, especially with how intense the feeling of being tickled is.

This is just how I see it. If I wasnt into feet or tickling, and I had a partner who was, I'd much rather have my feet played with or kissed, then to be held down, and tickled. No question.

I dont think it's about how unpleasant the tickling sensation is to the "vanilla" person so much as how uncomfortable this person is with how "weird" and/or "creepy" the very concept of a tickling fetish is to him/her. At least, that's how I interpret the question. Then again, maybe I misunderstood the intention of the original poster. It could go either way.
