Hopefully.. benign.

Forum members who use mouthwash, what kind and flavor do you use?

Up until now.. I had always used green Scope.. or red versions.. etc. Red could be difficult.. because it would seem to leave stains on the bathroom sink.

Today.. I found a new flavor.. Walgreen's.. Iceberg Blue. It looks like the color of the ocean in the tropics.. but has a very.. tart strong mint taste. Its interesting.

REMBRANDT DEEPLY WHITE + Peroxide Whitening Mouthwash

I just don't rinse my mouth after brushing. That way the toothpaste can sit in my crevices. I also have a tongue scraper.

Probably similar to what I have, mils, just a different flavor.

Crest 3D white mouthwash is my favorite, but I'll do Colgate optic white mouthwash if they don't got Crest. Which reminds me, I gotta get some more...

Vodka & Lemonade (sugar-free of course). My liver is about to give in, but I have great gums!

I don't use those. A lot of them have fluoride or alcohols in them, and that stuff is bad for you. I used to have a ton of dental problems (literally a mouth full of cavities) and a few years ago I decided to try and heal them on my own without any dental work. I'm happy to say I succeeded, but it took a few major changes.

1. I stopped using any toothpaste with fluoride or glycerin. Instead, I use herbal tooth powder.
2. I stopped using any harsh mouthwash.
3. Oil pulling every morning.

I have no more pain in my mouth, all my cavities healed themselves and my teeth look nice and white! Look up oil pulling if you care about your mouth... all the mainstream stuff is a lie.

How do you "heal" a cavity without dental work? I thought enamel does not renew itself....

The kind that sets my entire mouth on minty smelling fire. Builds character.

This reminds me of a Vault quote that I simply must share now. I'm sure everyone
here knows or at least remembers Skipadeedoodah:

"I really just almost made a status update about being displeased with switching from Listerine to Scope. How fucking self-important is that? “Everyone will want to know my mouthwash misfortunes!” Good lord… >.< "

I feel immortalized 😀

That's a myth. I'm living proof of that. I used to not even be able to bite into fruit because I had no enamel on my teeth. I used to have throbbing horrible pain from my cavities every day. Now, no pain and I can eat most things fine. There were actual visible cavities in my teeth that have now filled in with bone. You can still see the biggest one, but it's partially filled in and no more pain.

It took a couple of years from the time my mouth really began falling apart to the point I'm at now, which I feel is pretty much total healing. But I was able to decrease my pain to a manageable level within less than a week just by avoiding glycerin toothpaste, eating a super-healthy diet and oil pulling.

Here is some info for anyone interested:

Oh and yes, oil pulling can sometimes result in fillings coming out. Since I've never had any of my cavities filled, that wasn't a problem for me.

I use many different mouthwashes just to see how each one works differently from the others. Listerine and Scope are great but I've also used the colgate mouthwash which is hit and miss. Each has pro's and con's it just depends on what the person likes most i suppose. to each their own I say....just enjoy the fresh clean feeling
