You are very wise and fortuneate because many people live their entire lives riddled with fear.
To make my point, turn on the news channels.

Dying alone is crap. Many years ago, I was out hunting small game in a nearby State Park. I had my shotgun and a single-action revolver (.22).
I was accosted by two feral dogs. They retreated. I backed up behind a fence. I caught my breath and composure. Just then, they came back around the bend in the road. I had the feeling of so many battles in the past when holding a secure position and the enemy makes one last desperate charge.
We have a four-legged family (four cats, used to have a dog). I felt sick opening fire on these dogs, but if they came closer, I would have no options.
I was lucky that they must've been fired on before. They saw me a lot closer and decided it wasn't worth it.
Dying alone, not for me. I'm gonna take somebody with me.

I disagree that fear is illogical because fear is natural.
That said, fear is my favorite experience. I can get a total high off of it.
I just get this thrill off of going, "ooh! I'm afraid! what's gonna happen next?!"
But I'm not specifically afraid of anything really.
I study demonology, I love spiders, and all sorts of wonderful things like that.
so... yeah, stuff is scary.....

Well, certainly, fear is natural, but I just don't think its logical to be afraid. Demonology you say? You and I should talk.

I think the degree of fear is directly related to how you react to it. Regard it as a life experience, good or bad.
When I was in Sr. High school, many of us from the band were involved in the production, "Music Man". As we were
getting ready for the first show in front of our classmates, I was approached by fellow cast member who asked, "Aren't you
afraid of screwing up?" I took a long drink of my coffee and replied, "Before I answer that, go talk to *******, ***** and ******
and ask them, then I will tell you my answer." The people I mentioned were with me the previous summer in drum corps. We had won the
1974 American Legion Championship. We regularly played in front of 1000's of people.
He came back and said they were all afraid, they felt good after all of the rehearsals. I told him that is exactly my answer. I was shaking like a
leaf.
I do the same thing when I play Taps at a funeral or memorial.
