I have tried starting so many different threads about different bands but no one seems to be in to them so what kind of music does everyone listen to?

Sooooooooooooooooooo weird, my tastes~I grew up in a musical family. Mom was a classically trained opera singer, Pop was a Doors/Eagles/Beatles fan. I was a constant on the community theater musical scene up until college. My friends are always freaked out when they check out my collection~if I had a dime for "WHO IN THE FUCK OWNS BARRY MANILOW, ANTHRAX, Madonna AND everything by Mikey Patton ever did?" I'd be a damn millionaire.

The only thing I won't listen to is I guess what you'd call "traditional country", old school, is that the right term? I love crossovers like Dolly and Bonnie but don't get...ugh, I don't even know their names...You'll know them when you hear them.

Almost All types of classical music and film scores. Prog Rock/Metal, Classic Rock, Certain types of Metal. Mostly anything that is complicated, Epic, and thought provoking.

I like many things in many different styles, but I can be very selective. Just because I like rock or punk doesn't mean I like it all. Examples of bands that embody what I really like; Iggy Pop (with and without the Stooges), Mudhoney, Frank Balck (with and without the Pixies), Beatles, Roy Orbison, Husker Du, DEVO,... I'd better stop now, I don't want to make a huge list. But there's the idea.

I was raised on Oldies like the Beach Boys and Righteous Brothers, so I really love the older stuff. That's not all I listen to though, I love the Beatles, Country, Rock, Metal, Jrock, JPop, Anime intros/openings/songs, Video game music (8-64 bit Gamerfest anyone?), pretty much all kinds except rap. I just don't understand how it is considered music.
