i couldnt agree with you more. i cant wait to see what other people have to say. this could be pretty funny

How ‘bout …

The President of the United States
Commander in Chief
Mr. President
Sir

Even if you don't have respect for the man, at least have some respect for the office, your country, and yourself. 😡

OK, then let's rephrase...

Why don't we try "synonymous," "numb," and "doofus."

If you're going to insult the President, at least make an effort to spell your insults correctly.

Seriously, what she said. If you're gonna make fun of someone for their stupidity, it's best not to show your own intellectual failings. It takes the wind out of your insults and makes you the butt of the joke.

For the record, I'm not a fan of the man, either: I think he's ignorant, has made a number of incredibly bone-headed decisions that have set this country back, and look forward to when he's gone from office and we can start to fix his messes. But I don't think petty insults are the way to go about expressing displeasure with him. And besides, now I'm getting political.

Speaking of which, shouldn't this be in the P&R forum? Not only is it...we'll say "discussing" the president, but this thread feels like a pile of dry hay coated with napalm. Best to keep political flamewars in the P&R forum where we can continue to avoid them as we please.

I actually agree with the sentiment. But for most people here, only 1 and 3, are appropriate. He's not commander in chief of the country, he's commander in chief of the military, so for the vast majority of TMF members who aren't active military personel, referring to him as commander in chief is about as appropriate as saluting him. Either has a "military wannabe" feel to me.

And (getting political here) I'd say "Sir" is more of a term of respect for the man than the office. And like many, I don't think the man is worthy of my respect.

That the great thing about this country; you don't have to have respect for anyone or anything who does not have respect for you.

But over the last few years it seems we are living in a communist state.
