o hai.

Sole Mates Footography is a brand-spankin' new video vendor that is just finishing up our first round of model shoots.

The audio is a mixed bag. Our footage is filled with background noise; for example, we shot poolside today and there were a bunch of kids playing nearby. On another occasion, the model was feeling particularly chatty and engaged me in conversation while I was massaging her feet.

I'm not entirely sure how to approach editing the footage in these cases. If you can, please take a moment to offer your input.

In general, I see three options;

One, leave the audio as-is. Two, overdub the non-essential dialogue and sound with (original) music. Or three, mute the track entirely. What say you, community?

I don't mind some background noise; realism is more golden than silence. But most of all, I want to hear a model's full-throated, uninhibited laugh. Mess with that and I'm gone.

I'm also gone if there's a music soundtrack (or if someone leaves on a TV or MP3 player in the background). My life has enough distractions already.
