What,.. General Things. (Movies, Music, TV, General Topics) Did You Not Know, Learn, Understand, Until You Were Older..

A few come to mind for me.

1. That Richard Nixon was Vice President at a very young age, and lost a close election to JFK in 1960.

2. That Paul Simon Had a Singing Partner.

3. That Yogi Berra managed the Yankees twice. (1964, 1984, and sixteen games in 1985).

4. That Ted Knight had another major role on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, before he had the lead role as Henry Rush on Too Close for Comfort.

5. That Larry Hagman had another major role on I Dream of Jeannie, before he had the lead role as JR on Dallas.

When i was younger, like 5/6 up until 12 years old i didn't know tickling could be a fetish. I knew i was really into tickling , but i thought i was just weird, and probably the only person in the world who thought about it in a sexual way. It wasn't until my family got our first home computer, where i typed in "tickle torture" just out of curiosity one day.

I didn't get Radiohead's music until much older. When I was a teenager it seemed cool but I did actually LISTEN to it.

My mortality is a real thing. Maybe it is just my anxiety talking, but I am so aware of my own fragile existence it is maddening.

Figured id post something else I've learned recently:

I could read and write ancient egyptian heiroglyphs science I was 6 years old, and still can. I have heard of "heiratic" another form of Egyptian writing which was like a script (but didnt learn it)
It wasn't until over 15 years later (last year, when I was 22 ) did I learn that Ancient Egyptians had yet another type of writing system called Demotic.
Its the ancient precursor to modern-day arabic. 😱 !
This was a VERY weird thing for me to learn, because I had never even heard of a thing like this, as an Egyptian ever- despite having learned how to read / write one type when I was in first grade. Wow! It's only been one year since I've learned about this, so it's still News to me....haha 😉
