What's a good .gif viewer?

my hard drive recently crashed, and for the life of me i can't remember the name of the program i used to view my .gif and .swf files. what are some of the programs you use?

Exactly what you just said OP, GIF Viewer 3. Yes, that's the program's name lol.
Quickly opens itself up when you open up a gif just as if you'd used XP and still had gif viewing capabilities with the Windows gallery.
The only trade off is that a few gifs will play based on your computer's specs, rather than like how they were viewed on a browser, so they might be quicker.

My preferred image viewer is XnView. But a lot of what makes an image viewer "the best" comes down to personal preference. So let me recommend http://www.techsupportalert.com/ as a great review site for free image viewers, and good free software in general.
