What's that part of your foot called?

Okay, I know that the area by your toes is called the 'balls', the area in the back by the ankle is called the 'heels', and the inward area between your balls and your heels is called the 'arches'. What's that outward area on your soles next to the arches called? I thought those were called 'insteps', but I found out that the 'insteps' were the tops of your feet.

Well, I am know the official anatomical name of this region of the foot is called the lateral plantar (I know, not very sexy sounding at all). The muscles in that region are called the Intrinsics I think. I have always loved this region of a woman's foot. It is one of my favorite places to nibble away at! 🙂
