What's this guy mean anyhow?

I found a link to this photography web site in a TMF discussion of which camera an aspiring photographer should buy. This guy, Ken Rockwell, a pretty neat photographer in his own right, goes directly counter to the prevailing logic - that equipment doesn't matter as long as you know how to use what you've got (that philosophy could be applied to any number of other life situations as well).

This photographer's point isso true, too! You can have a 200$ camera and a 2000$+ camera and not be able to tell the difference between which took which picture. Honestly, at my local camera store, an employee reminded me of the limitations of cameras by showing me some of the amazing pictures they had up in the store. He said they were taken from camera's varying in price from 200 to over 2000 dollars, and he asked me if I could guess which camera took which shot.
Aside from limitations/advances in zooming technology (some of the pictures were close-ups of 'big cats' (leopard, tiger, lion, etc.) I honestly couldn't tell the difference.

Of course, a more expensive camera will allow you more options to further enhance the shot you take, but it's all in how you 'see' what's already around you - with your God-given eyes. Those don't cost anything the last time 'I' checked.

Eyes cost a lot if you don't have 20/20 vision. More if you have Glaucoma. XD
