what's your favorite mainstream tickle scene?

I just picked up a copy of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" the other day, mostly because I remember it features a great tickle scene. It's great for a movie, anyway.

The topic of tickle scenes from movies and TV in brought up often around here. Of course, there's two forums here dedicated to the subject.

I'd like to know - what is everyone favorite tickle scene from a movie and/or TV show?

The best tickle scenes I can remember seeing in a movie would be the scene from "North To Alaska" and the scene from "Ferris Bueller." Both scenes were slightly drawn out, and ticklee's reaction in both was great and looked real (could be wishful thinking on my part).

The best tickle scene I've seen on a TV show was from an old show called "Family." Merdith Baxter Birny got her feet tickled by a boyfriend and she became pratically hysterical in just a few seconds. I saw that around when it first aired but never caught the rerun.

Scenes I've heard about, but haven't seen are from movies "The Sheltering Sky (Debra Winger)" and "Can She Bake A Cherry Pie (Karen Black)?" Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Once again, what's everyone favorite mainstream tickle scene(s)?

A lot of what I've seen listed as a "tickle scene" I frankly wouldn't consider to be one. I don't go out of my way to find them, either. But, there are some decent scenes out there. My fav is when Robbin Williams was on that show Life with Bonnie (or something like that) a few months back and was tickling her through the interview segment. Because I like playful teasing type of tickling, that was ideal for me.

Can She Bake A Cherry Pie? Monkeys Go Home!

Good scene as mainstreams go. Guy is putting the moves on a redhead (Frances Fisher), who's pinned under him on a couch - she's half protesting, half laughing. Her laughter grows more intense as the camera pans down the length of the couch and we see that, unknown to the couple on the couch, the guy's girlfriend (Karen Black) has entered the scene, taken hold of the redhead's ankle, and is vigorously tickling her bare sole. When the redhead sees the girlfriend, she shrieks wih alarm!

A favorite of mine is the scene in "Monkeys Go Home!", although it's very brief. Yvette Mimieux, playing the innocent "good girl", deliberately sets trained chimps loose in the bedroom of an aging French bimbo who's trying to defraud the hero out of his farm. The chimps get into a variety of mischief. One in particular sits at the foot of the bed and begins teasing the sleeping bimbo's stocking foot. The toes wriggle and the camera cuts to the bimbo's face - she giggles in her sleep. I liked that they then cut to Yvette Mimieux who has to stifle a delighted laugh; she clearly finds it funny that the chimp is tickling the sleeping woman's foot!

I like the 'North to Alaska' scene, as there's NO WAY that she's faking that laugh!!! I also like the sneaky tickle in the Stevie Wonder episode of 'The Cosby Show'; the way she looks at him as he takes off her shoe and plays with her foot, you can see her tensing up and bracing for the tickling, yet STILL she can't stand it!!

There's another UK one from about 20 years ago, where, on a BBC daily morning show called 'Breakfast TV', the then attractive Selena Scott has her stocking feet tickled by Rod Hull and Emu (a ventriloquist and his dummy). As I've only ever seen this clip once (and it was at the time!), my memory is hazy, but here's the gist of it. After saying that Selena's tickling Emu, he (the Emu) clamps his 'beak' over her mouth, she falls back, Rod Hull takes off her shoes and then goes to work on her feet!! She roars with laughter, and they both fall to the floor, with Rod asking her where her shoes had gone...

How I'd love to see it again!

But seriously, I love so many of them. One of the best is from a TV soft porn called Justine, but I suppose you wouldn't know that.

It would be easier to select a whole movie. The most tickle-erotic atmosphere for me was "Sirens" with Elle McPherson. The whole movie breathes "tickle!", and there are actually 4 real but brief tickle scenes in it.

Right now, I'm getting some help in converting about 20 such scenes to clips. They will appear (hopefully) soon in my 2nd yahoo-group... 😎

The best main-stream tickling I ever saw was on Candid Camera. I've posted a description of that scene on this forum before. Here's the link. I have tried to get a copy of this episode, but so far without success. I don't know the name of the guy who was caught on video, and I'm not even sure what network it aired on.

I like the 'North to Alaska' scene, as there's NO WAY that she's faking that laugh!!!

Definately one of the best! I have this movie on video cassette and I once slowed down the image and watched her face, just to see if she was faking. I am absolutely positive of two things: (1) she's not faking and, (2) she and Stuart Witman (the tickler) both had a great time with that scene. He has a world class shit-eating-grin on his face as he reaches for her foot, and her grin is bigger than his!

Another good movie scene is when Robin Williams tickles the feet of an unknown stunt-woman in the Adventures of Baron Munchousen. (Forgive the spelling, I no longer have the movie in my collection.) Basically Robin Williams plays a mythical god/king who is tickling the feet of his queen in their marital bed, prepatory to sex. Both he and his wife have detachable heads, and his wife's head is off flirting with Baron Munchousen while Williams is tickling her. The queen is laughing during a serious conversation with the Baron, and when he is asked by one of his companions why she's laughing the Baron explains: "Her body is with her husband, the king... and he is... ahem... er... tickling her feet."

The stunt-woman's feet are very pretty and... expressive is the best adjective I can think of. You can tell she's getting tickled big time!

I saw an interview about this on the Tonight Show. Leno asked Williams if his wife ever got jealous about some of the scenes in his movies. Williams admitted that she was jealous over this scene, and it was just about the only time she had been jealous. And he blushed when he admitted it. (Robin, are you out there dude???)

I absolutely never heard about the tickling scene with Jane March. I agree, she adorable. Could you tell me a little more about the scene?

I was waiting to see her tickled in the movie she did with Bruce Willis, but it never happened. She did actaully tickle Leslie Ann Warren in that one, though. Then I thought I had a winner when she played Jane (opposite Tarzan), but once again I got gonged.

It's about halfway through the movie, she is giving a guy a massage and tickles him so he pins her down and tickles her back. It's just a few seconds.

This one is easy for me. Besides all the cartoon tickling I saw as a youngster, the first real people tickling I ever saw was a movie called The Brothers Karamazov. The movie opened with a great foot tickling scene and the lady was going nuts! Nothing I ever saw past that mattered...it was the first and most memoriable for me.

Little did I know that I would be rewarded someday for staying faithful to that scene. Most of you kinda know this story, but for those of you who don't, here it is. I use to have a tickling website that was fairly popular called "HotelTickle" that featured all sorts of tickling tid bits including a huge mainstream section. At some point, someone sent me a collage of the lady getting tickled (which was very cool) in that movie and I posted it on the site. A few months pass and oneday I get this email from a lady named Gloria Pall. When I opened it, the letter was from the lady herself that was tickled in the movie!!! I was blown away. She said that a friend of hers was "surfing" my site and pointed out the collage to her. She said she had no idea that the scene she was in was dubbed a "classic" in our nice little community and she was very flattered. After that I posted a thread over at AMT to see how many people remembered that scene and the response was overwhelming. I told her about it and she asked me what I thought about her putting together a small book about her tickle experience in the movie and I told her to go for it and I would help promote it for her...so she did! The book contains some photos and she describes the whole process of how she got the part and what she had to endure through the filming of that scene. I won't tell a whole lot more because she still has the book for sale and as she put it "a girl still has to make a living," but I will tell you this...yes, she is extremeley ticklish and part of the audition for the part "was" being tickled along with many other female actresses! She got the part...you guess why...lol Her and I have talked on the phone a few times and she also told me that when she was filming "Jailhouse Rock" that Elvis use to tickle her all the time on the set! She seems to think he was one of us. Also she sent me an autographed picture of herself from her Cameo days and naturally I got issue number 1 of her book. Very classy lady. For myself, the best 2 scenes I can think of:

"Once Upon a Horse", the Rowan and Martin western comedy from the early 60s. The scene where a middle-aged gal gets her feet stuck in a wall and a dog runs up and licks them. The laughter is truly genuine.

"Babes", a Fox sitcom from the early 90s staring 3 heavyset women living together. When the two gals are trying to find out what's bugging the third, they decide, "there's only one way to get anything out of her". So one holds the girl down while the other pulls off her sandals and tickles her feet til she screams and gives in, while falling off the couch.

And this is only slightly off-topic, but has anyone else here seen that Elvis movie "Tickle Me." I realize this is one of the greatest movie titles of all time, but shouldn't it have had at least a LITTLE tickling in it?

THANK YOU. I was beginning to think I had dreamt up that scene on Family! I remember that one as them sitting on the bed, studying or some such. He starts to play with her feet, and a few seconds later she was screaming "I'm not ticklish, I'm not ticklish!"

I'm surprised they never show Family on any of the cable networks that show old programs. That was a classic.

North to Alaska...but of course...but let's not forget the brief but oh so cool clip in the Avengers w/ Miss Peale atop the sculpture w/ her bare foot dangling.
AND I've a question...does animation count as mainstream?
If so,the 2 Popeye cartoons: BRIDGE AHOY & SHIVER ME TIMBERS come immediatly to mind. Olive Oyl dangling high atop a girder while Bluto tickles her sole unmercifuly is only topped by Miss Oyl -in full bondage, I might add- being sent into the stratosphere by 2 little kittens licking the milk from her bare feet...NOW THAT'S TICKLING!!!!
This poor girl is being torured out of her mind; I wouldn't have minded the scene going on longer & cuts back to the "action" as it were by the cats STILL working her over........Ahhhhhhh Memories.

...there are so many, and I wont be redundant and name the great ones already mentioned. I will bring up the Phylicia Rashad one from the Cosby Show, only because I had a huge crush on her as a kid.

Any of the stuff I catch on HSN and QVC are up there, mainly because as WallStreet eluded to, they are unscripted and arentfaked. Kobe Tai's reaction from having her toes sucked on an old Playboy tv show is near the top. Tarzan tickling Jane's foot in the original Tarzan movie was the first one I remember seeing which sparked this interest in mainstream scenes, so it has sentimental value. John Ritter tickling Joyce Dewitt on Three's Company also has sentimental value for the same reason. Carmen Electra being tickled on Howard Stern was good, and I usually dont get into the Howard stuff. Those are the ones I can think of that stand out right now. But Im sure if this comes up 6 months from now I will have different favorites; I cant speak for everyone but for me sometimes my favorites run in cycles.

I had completely forgotten about Jay Leno's stuff. I guess I liked thoses because of the unexpectedness of it. He tickled Heather Locklear's and jamie Lee Curtis' foot a few years back. Also, I remember model/ET reporter Roshumba being tickled twice: once on the ribs on VH-1 and once on her foot on an old talk show called Ainsley Harriett.

Outside of cartoons, (some of which I watch KNOWING that every now and then a tickle scene is gonna come up), the first mainstream tickle scene that I ever saw was in an episode of M*A*S*H.

It's F/M, rather short, but definitely cute. Hawkeye is hungover and in a bad mood, and Margret sits next to him and she is putting sugar in his coffee (with his permission), and she puts like... ten spoons in there, and when he tastes it, he makes a 'gah!' face, then throws a pancake at her. Then SHE throws it back, and he hits her square in the face with a glob of oatmeal, and she's laughing. And he complains, because he wanted to make her mad, and she says he needs to lighten up and goes "koochie koochie koo!", and starts tickling his stomach and ribs. And he's going "Stop it! Stop it!" Doesn't really laugh, but it is cute. And I happen to know for a fact that Alan Alda (who played Hawkeye) IS ticklish, because I saw him tickled on an episode of Scientific American Frontiers.

I could go into the cartoon scenes I like, but that would take too long.

Before I start with my fave scene, let me just say (SmashTV) I saw the Rod Hull Emu/Selina Scott Tickle extravaganza on Breakfast TV when it happened (I was in bed at the time). I was so stunned into disbelief, I actually wasn't sure was I snoozing and just dreamt it. I have never seen a repeat of it, nor have I ever forgot it either (which would be by my reckoning about 18 years ago)

Anyway my favourite scene (which is FFFFFFF/M) was in the movie SOME LIKE IT HOT. Anyway 'Jack Lemmon' disguised in drag, is a saxophone player in an all girl band. He and his fellow band members are having a little impromptu Martini party on the top bunk of a sleeper train. When 'Lemmon' accidentally hiccups, one of the girls says: "I know lets drop ice down her (his) neck".
Which is immediately followed by another girl screaming: "She's (he is) Ticklish". Upon which they all set upon 'Lemmon' trying to Tickle him/her to death.

They nearly succeed too, only 'Lemmon' manages to save himself with a desperate grab of the trains help cord, causing an emergency stop of the train.

I can't begin to tell you how many times I have fantasised about that scene. The other early F/M Tickle influence for me was the scene in the Laurel and Hardy film WAY OUT WEST, although not as good as(although longer than) SOME LIKE IT OUT. Incidentally 'Marilyn Monroe' isn't in that scene as she is being distracted elsewhere by 'Tony Curtis'.

It's been hard for me to decide. I usually don't have particular favorites. But the one's that stand out most in my mind are:

The Underdog episode, "The Tickle Feather Machine." One of my earliest memories as a child was seeing Sweet Polly get it. It burned itself into my brain and has stayed there ever since.

The first Tickle deoderant commercial, which I haven't seen in years but would very much love to.

And the Tickle sequence on The Electic Company, where the girl is being tickled by the word Tickle. Another one I haven't seen in a while.

The only tickling scene apart from the M*A*S*H* scene that I can remember comes from a Peter Pan cartoon serial. This would probably be about a decade back... and I had no interest in the actual show (I was just bored)... and it sorta surprises me that I can remember the footage even though I didn't know I liked tickling at the time. Not remembering anything about the actually show... I'll give my best account:

For some reason or another, one of the lost boys had constructed a tickle tourture machine (perhaps to interrogate pirates?) and the fat boy was testing it out on one of the taller ones (I assume that the rest of the boys were watching the demonstration).

The tickle tourture machine was set up like this. The tall boy was sitting down on a wooden chair with his arms tied above his head and his bare feet restrained at the bottom of the chair. Two feathers were positioned either side of his neck.. and a pair of gloved (wooden) hands were attached to wooden arms positioned near his arm pits.... and at his feet was a board with what looked like either that bed massage foam or certain types of sound proofing... ( rows of foam "/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\" ). All of this was controlled by the fat boy behind the chair by strings tied to his fingers.

What happened in the scene was the fat boy was giving a demonstration... I remember the tall boy looking somewhat nervous... eitherway, the demonstration started slowly with the fat boy wiggling his fingers which made the feathers, hands and foot board move around, which made the tall boy laugh alot.... a heck of alot in fact so the fat boy started to try and stop the machine, but his fingers started getting tangled up in the strings...

so the fat boy started struggling to untangle the strings which made the machine move fast which made the tall boy laugh harder which made the fat boy panic which made the strings get more tangled up and made a nice vicious circle. I can't remember how the scene ended though... probably by the machine breaking.


Its odd remembering that scene now, cause I can now understand why I kept thinking about that scene long after I had forgotten the rest of the program. So many confused childhood memories now have little bits filled in thanks to the TMF 🙂



..... I just remembered another scene. There is one Bewitched scene where Darren laughs at any bad news because Samatha's mother cast a spell with similar wording to

(rhyming incantation ending with) so whenever he hears bad news, his insides will Tickle!

obviously there was faked laughter through the whole episode... but still enjoyed the idea of having a tickle spell cast on me (once again, I was too young to know why though)

My favorite scene from a movie is "Great Catherine." It is a quite long F/m scene. Cahtherine the Great has a British officer (played by Peter O'Toole) brought to her personal chambers, all tied up. She tickles him three or four separate times by poking her bare foot into his ribs. She gets down and tickles his ribs unmercifully with her fingers. She also has him kiss her foot. If you like F/m tickling, the film is certainly worth renting. 😀

Toneus, I only saw that scene on 'Points of View', about a week or so after it happened. It was indeed some 18 years ago, but here's some news. While I've gone onto web searches for Rod Hull, Selina Scott and Breakfast Television (all to no avail), there is apparently a programme coming out later this year examining 'The Real Rod Hull', which is normally on Channel 4. maybe, JUST MAYBE, it'll be on there.

Fingers crossed, eh?

Soleseeker, I have considered asking the BBC for that clip, or information on how to get it, but I've just not had the time. I like the plan though, with Rod as my uncle!!! Fortunately, there's no resemblance between us!!!
