What's your theme song?

is there a song that describes you or your feelings or you love just so much you never get tired of it? is there a song that you and your spouse has as "your song" i was interested on this topic, so just post the names of your song or songs.

on a regular basis, mine would have to be "Paint It Black" by Rolling Stones. It sorta describes me, and it's just such a great song, it just engulfs me when it plays.

when i'm in a real good mood, my song is "What's new Pussycat?" by Tom Jones. it's a song that i can dance to anytime i hear it, lol.

Some really nice love songs can be found in Love Hina. "Egao No Mirai E", and "Promise" are my two favorites.

I'll have to get back to you on the theme song though. Although one I do like that does speak volumes about me when I'm in a competitive mood is Motorhead's version of "The Game".

Theres different songs for different themes. I don't think I could pick one that would be universal to me.

It's a tie between Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, and Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day." Beethoven's Fifth represents the elegance I strive for and is also widely considered to symbolise survival and hope. Ice Cube's song represents the ability to prevail and to be cheerful, even when living in a violent neighbourhood as I do.

One of my power songs is 4th Mov: Presto (Symphony no. 9)

That song has alot of energy,beauty and grace to it, and has been used time and time again in military documentaries, movies, and even anime.

It almost always gives me a chill and goosebumps, a very impactful, classic piece.

I love the sheer emotion that Queen manages to put into their music, and with Bohemian Rhapsody.....I guess everyone feels like there's a devil set aside for them every now and then. It's a shame I don't hear it played on the radio that often.

Now, I'm not the kind of guy who likes to turn the music up in my crappy car just to turn heads....but no song gets played louder than this in the Tequilamobile. Case closed.

Okay...some may take this and run with it but the song I most identify with is "Bitch" by Merideth Brookes. I won't post the entire lyric here but it's not about being a "bitch"...it's about being someone who takes many different shapes.

Interesting perspective on that song ness. I lost a lot of respect for that song the time I took a business trip to the bible belt, only to walk down into the hotel bar after work to find that it was karokee night....and some rebellious chick was on the floor belting out Bitch, while a crowd of open-mouthed prim-and-proper people looked on in amazement. Who'd of thunk it....

Hmm..most of the time, the song which describes me most of the time is "It's my Life" by "Bon Jovi"...probably because I'm getting really sick of living up to other people's expectations.

When I'm in a really sad mood however, "My Immortal" by "Evanescence". There's something about Amy Lee's voice which really gets to me and turns me into even more of a blubering wreck.

I don't know the movie, Normie, as I've never seen it...but when I'm looking for something like that I can usually find it by searching for the soundtrack album on Amazon or Borders or someplace that sells cds and had samples of each song...I can find a lot of things that way that I don't know the title of.

Yes, very emotional. Although just reading the lyrics, which are of course in german are not as powerful without the actual orchestra performing and hearing the score.

Its also an added bonus to understand the words. I remember the first time I heard it though, and that was probably the most special just because of the beauty of the language in song and not understanding a single bit of it save for some words.
