I can post this now, because I'm finally getting it taken care of.

I had a massive seizure this past Saturday morning, as severe as the one that put me in the hospital last Thanksgiving.

I don't even fully remember the incident.

It was the type of seizure, where I blacked out.

Said incident finally made me seek the aid of a neurologist.

Today, I went to the neurologist, and had a pack put on me, where they will be monitoring my brain waves for 48 hours.

On Sunday morning, I have to go back to the Dr to have the monitor taken off me,

If I have any other seizures before my appointment, I have to call the Dr, and maybe go to the hospital, immediately.

I will largely have to stay home, except for a bit of food shopping.

Hopefully, they will finally get to the bottom of what is causing the seizures.

I will probably end up on anti seizure meds.

I told my Dad that as upsetting as the massive seizure was, it was probably a blessing in disguise, because it forced me to take care of seeing the neurologist.

Hopefully this will just be a quiet weekend.

At first from the title of this thread I thought you were referring to Mitch McConnell looking like a mummy.

But yeah, sorry to hear you went through that. Did you suffer any loss of function? I hope not. 🙁

I posted the title in an effort to be humorous in a bad situation.

At first, I had been having some forgetfulness, which was a bit scary, because I usually have a razor sharp memory.

I was told that the forgetfulness was most likely from having the machine on my head.

Most significantly, I'm in a lot of pain all down my neck and back. Seemingly partially from the fall from the seizure itself, and also partially from the machine I had put on my head.

My father and I had a conference call with the neurologist yesterday, and we were told that the test results could "take up to two weeks to come back".

I wasn;t thrilled about that, because I would like to know what's going on, but I know I have no control over the situation. I was told by the Dr to just try to stay calm, and not worry about the results.

Worst case scenario, I'm going to end up on anti seizure meds, which isn't surprising.
