When was the TMF Founded?

This question goes mainly to the moderators, as i think they know it better then anybody else, but please, if any of you know the answer i will be more then happy to hear it. I was just here, thinking to myself when this question pops-up in my mind... i'm also not sure if this is the right Forum to be placing my question, as i was trying to decide about the "Request Forum" and this one, sorry if i was wrong...

The TMF got its earliest start at the end of 2000 as an ezboard forum. This site, ticklingforum.com, opened in late April of 2001 🙂

It's funny, there aren't many that have been here the whole time. lol

Its been quite a long time. I remember the EZboard days. I believe I joined on day #2 so I was a late comer I don't post as much nowadays as I did back in the beginning but I try to keep my nose in the fray. It has been a long time. I do miss my tickle friend Mistress Mia, the only TMFer that I ever got to tickle..........she had wonderfully ticklish feet 😛 Ahhhh and my story-telling friend Deigo.....his supermodel stories are still some of my favorites!

Good Lord Giantfan, I forgot those names, I wonder what happened to them all? I was looking through, most people ain't been around that long. I'm not sure how many days after it was founded I joined, but I remember I came in off a link on Magic Touch.

Re EzBoard

The internet was a bit different at the end of the 90's and the idea of a 'web community' was still not fully formed. EzBoard offered a forum system not unlike this one that you see and it was free. Thus the first TMF happened there.

However after the dot coms popped the web started to cost money. And Ez made it known that a fee would be required to use it without ads and other annoyances, and their reliability was a bit iffy also.

So Psycho and Jeff decided to licence a forum package and host it on a server themselves. That led to this version which I ended up managing when Scott left just as it launched.

Mia got busy with her life and moved on. She's still out there being happy, just not active in the community any more.
