Where do you work?

Just curious to ask, as I'm sure there are a few members who will have some suprises to tell!

Myself I work as an assitant-manager in a Safeway Produce Department. Not much, I know, but it's a job. Probably be moving on to other things eventually. I guess the perks of the job right now are a) we get to drive power-fork lifts, and b) we get to use big knives! 😎

No explosives or fire though . heh

Right now i'm a college student in San Antonio and a Voice actor for ADV Films in Houston. Very fun!

I'm also a volunteer firefighter, which is..interesting.

Security guard and firefighter... I sorta did some security as a floor-walker in a bookstore, only the regulars knew who I was in about 3 seconds, so it was next to impossible to catch anyone. Haven't tried firefighting though!

What kind of security do you work though?

I work in a Borders Bookstore and alternate between cashier, stocking shelves, book seller or "IPT" which is basically the stock room department. Only area I don't work in is the cafe....

well the hollywood brother works at a comp usa. it not a rich job or a glamour job but somebody got to deal with the public. The hollywood brother is good at it because the hollywood brother can take a ton of crap on a daily basis

i just got myself a job at Game Stop, a chain game store which just opened up in my area. it's great, getting paid for discussing and selling what i love, video games. pay a bit better too, but just until i get my A+ Certification for Computer Engineering.

I used to do retail security too. The last time I did, it was in a grocery store. The aisles were looooong, so it was real tricky to try to catch people. I ended up just dressing like a scrounge and parking a shopping cart on problem aisles from the produce side and read a magazine. I tried to look like a bored boyfriend waiting for his g/f to come back with something.....it worked most of the time, but it was the only way I could get anything done.

Right now, my primary job is master controller at a television station. Master controller is who you blame or feel sorry for if you see too much black screen. I also do some video editing and camera work. Small outfit, so I wear many hats.

you get discounts on games to buy, but you do get games, especially the new ones out to play for "studying" they even make you borrow an xbox or ps2 to play the games and learn the product. so i do get paid for playing games, just awesome. can't wait for me to test out xbox 360 games.

i played an xbox 360 game in the back room today on my break. all i have to say, is Perfect Dark Zero is da sh*t!!!

The horse won 350,000 dollars. Paid 60,000 for horse. Before that I worked as a Tech for the military fixing missile sites for 17 years.

nice work history, and the oxygen analyzer is an important job, sure beats the old canary system (where they'd bring the canary in a mine, if it died, meaning the air was very unsafe)
