Hmmmm....catchy title for a video game--naw, it'll never sell.
Anywho, since plans have now been finalized, her destination can be revealed. First, a little backstory---
I began IM'ing with Laurie last June...but got sidetracked as I developed a relationship with a 'ler/'lee. Drifted away from TMF but then reconnected here and with her about a month and a half ago.
Laurie and I began to hit it off online, and I invited her to visit Dina and I for New Years week (12/28 through 1/4). She graciously accepted, and we started making plans. However, fate stepped in...
As you know, she lost her job and had a falling-out with her folks, who wanted her to drop tickling completely...she felt it was time to go, and as her financial situation was tight (rather than stay in a hotel), we then invited her to crash at my apartment for as long as it takes to get back on her feet and settle down in Illinois.
Rest assured, friends of Laurie...she will be treated with the utmost respect here...nothing happens until she's comfortable with us. Dina's one helluva cook, and queen-size sofabed is quite comfy---but she's DYING to try out the portable stocks! Plus, she's arriving a day early (Thursday) so she and Dina can get acquainted...then I've taken Saturday off to treat the 2 to a full day of fun in Chicago...and wait'll I write back after New Years week about my surprise for them! La-tor.
...incidentally, although she's mentioned how she's staying in the Joliet area, she'll actually be in a town directly to the north of there...near I-55.

I know you mentioned writing a thread like this during our conversation on phone the other day and I see that you did as you said
,and also some stress but in a good way as I prepare myself with what I need to do to make this move smartly and with some wisdom from my past experiences .

and things are coming together nicely
It looks like I am making this move right as the winter arrives 
But every new move has some things that we accept and do our best to keep dry and warm by being prepared with winter apparel.
