<u>Liner Notes:</u> I thought I might move the Tales of the Desperate series a little forward in time to the early 1970s and the comic books that heralded the last gasp of Monster Mania that was fixed in pop culture since the 1950's. Most of the filler stories in these issues were reprints or re-do's of works featured in earlier horror and sci-fi comic lines. Nevertheless, they introduced new generations of little fiends to the stylings of an early Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. Here, is my re-imagining of one of those lines as it never was, channeling a bit of the King Kirby for an authentic fit into <b>C.A.B.'s Second Annual OktoberFetish Celebration. Enjoy.</b>
