Where to get feathers?

Well hello there. First off I've never been involved in any sort of tickle scenario....being tied up in tickled OR tickling.

Coming up pretty soon me and a female are supposed to get together for some tickling....reversing roles (ticklee or tickler) throughout the "event."

We're both newbs too....

All that aside I've started gathering some "tools" if you will....knylon rope, some fluffy dusters, brushes, electric toothbrush, etc.... She has massage oils as well. The problem I'm having is finding where to get a few feathers! I don't need many feathers....just a few. Probably want a few different types..long, stiff feathers and shorter more "bushy" feathers. Where can I acquire feathers? I haven't noticed feathers being made available for sale in an average store or anything like that.

So that's my quest.....to find a few good feathers.

Also since we're on the topic here are there any other good tickling devices you can think of? I've seen shaving brushes used, and I think I'll try getting one of those too. I've also seen nails used, although I probably wouldn't use that.

Look forward to seeing some responses 🙂 Thanks!

where to get tools..

here in so cal, "Michaels" :feather:is the place to go. craft shops have everything you will ever need the mrs and i have had many nights of tickling bliss thanks to Michaels.

Sometimes feathers are sold at some furniture/house decoration shops as decorations...

Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or any crafts place will be the absolute best bet. They come in packs of about 20 or so for a dollar. Any color you could ever want. Some are natural, some are artificial. You won't know the difference.

If you can't find them, don't walk around gawking like a heel, though. Just ask someone. The last thing they're going to think about is "OH MAN THIS FREAK IS GONNA TICKLE SOMEBODY OMG"

They'll instead think, "Hmm, what other sort of decorator items would they be interested in?"

So if you're worried, don't be.

And Prime never said that. Only in some crappy alternate dimension would Optimus Prime talk about eBay.

Chase some chickens and birds and flock them bare... if you get 10 different feathers that way I will congratulate you.

There's a local Jo-Ann Fabrics I may have to finally set foot in, lol. I'll let ya know.

Of all places, joke shops seem to carry them - and craft places, as Jimmy James said.

Any crafts store. Michaels and Jo Ann fabrics both often have colored turkey feathers and ostrich plumes.

And let's not forget the good old fashioned feather duster. Just pluck out the feathers, and off ya go.

If you have a buckskin shop or some other re-enactor supply, you can get a variety of feathers.

SCA events and renfaires often have peacock and pheasant feathers.

You can see if the Zoo will give you some bird feathers and you can go to a craft shop for craft feathers.

being a hunter feathers aren't to hard to come by, found turkey feathers to be the best

I just got back from Jo Ann Fabrics and got a few assortments of feathers...under $11!

Thanks!

I don't have the link but there is an online store which sells all manner of feathers. They are very reasonably priced as well. I remember looking specifically for feathers and stumbled upon it.

And Prime never said that. Only in some crappy alternate dimension would Optimus Prime talk about eBay.

He said it in the very crappy movie, that starred two bit humans, and rarely featured any transformers.

Jazz had all of two lines.

Dude, in my Shakespare course last semester, these guys compared Shakespeare to Michael Bay.

It took me a bit, because I forgot who the guy was (no need to remember him). As I got it, the line was being read in the small skit they wrote... and I just said, "Jesus... that's harsh".

...

...

Michael Bay sucks.

But uh... I'm glad you got your feathers?

I got to Michael's craft stores for all of my needs. They have feathers and brushes galore!
plus no one thinks anything of it when you buy them.

Sometimes you get lucky and just find one. I was mowing my lawn the other day and found a nearly perfect turkey feather.

And, Crest® has a new "Spinbrush Sonic" on the market for a mere $15! It's something to consider if things go well with this first little foray, NWIBOY.

I get mine from Michael's, a craft shop. Same goes for paint brushes.
