B. Memorial Day (day off work in the summer for no reason)

C. The Jerry Lewis Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Telethon

D. When nickel night at Spivey's Bar is on the same day as Taco Night (alignment of the planets and all that)

E. The Italian festival (every town has one)

F. The day the old fart across the street who's fascinated with tools breaks out the snow blower for the first time that winter

G. St. Stephen's Day (or Boxing Day, if you don't like the Grateful Dead)

H. When they show "Rudolph" and "The Grinch" (unless they're on at the same time)

J. Daumantas' birthday

K. Car inspection day

L. Dentist visit

M. The day you put your clocks forward

N. The day you put your clocks back

my town has no italian festival..*sniffle*

my fav has to be when the clock goes an hour back...ahhh that sweet hour of extra sleep.

a close second is the christmas cartoons. Although i despise the comercialism of of christmas, i still have fond childhood memories of the feeling of the impending christmas festivities as well as the television christmas offerings...the grinch is one of my all time favorites , right up there with the hobbit.

I look forward to the xmas cartoons too...but they have to be the old ones or the nostalgia is lost for me. I still laugh when I hear about the Grinch stealing the last can of "Who Hash".
And I can relate to F...that old fart is my father . 🙄 Men and their tools..sheeeeesh.

ARE THE BEST. Otherwise an even called Homecoming in Puxico Missouri. (I'm not from Puxico.)
I drive 10 hours every year to go to Homecoming. And eat a Shredded Goat burger there every year.

St. Patrick's Day! When I can see an Asian-American, African-American, Mexican-American, Muslim, Jew, or any other flavor (including the Germanic decent of my family) claim to be at least part Irish and do their best/worst Irish brogues. LOL. Besides, I love the green shakes McDonald's has then, too. As well as pinching/tickling non-green wearing folks. 😀
