Which of "The Big Three" do you prefer...

and by big three I mean XBox 360, Playstation 3, or the Nintendo Wii?

I own the 360 and the Wii (I refuse to get the PS3 till they get a substational amount of exclusive titles on their system and I get the money to buy one). Although the Wii is super fun and entertaining, the 360 has got me sold mostly cause I compete against 3 of my other friends to see who's gamer score is higher (currently I lead by a little over 2000 points) and I enjoy the online play of xbox live.

I prefer the PS3 and that is all I got.

I'm a fighting game guy. I love Tekken and Tekken 6 will be PS3 only, or at least PS3 first. Then there is Street Fighter 4 coming out which might be exclusive to PS3, and Soul Caliber which I don't think is exclusive.

Also, I think the PS3/2/1 has the best controller for fighting games.

And I think blu-ray is better than HD-DVD.

But, honestly you should get a console based on the games you like first and foremost.

So, if you like Halo, get an X-Box 360 and if you like Smash Brothers/Zelda/Mario, get a Wii.

later down the line i will get a PS3, maybe in a year or more. it's too damn expensive. the only 2 titles that are PS3 which would make me get one are Resistance: Fall of man, and Unreal Tournament 3. most other games are on both PS3 and 360, or just 360.

Wii i just hate, very, very few interesting games. it's got a ton of games, most of them crap for a real gamer like me. Wii is just for the family and those new to gaming. unless something super magical happens, i will never own a Wii.

And if I hear on thing about graphics I will grab the nearest psp and smash it with a blow torch.

Could I pick all 3? My brother has the wii and 360 and I have other friends who have a wii and ps3. But to be honest I've found that the titles on any of the systems really are amazing. Halo 3 alone is fantastic for the xbox 360 (though 360 tends to now have the more popular games center around the first person shooters).

The one title I would get the ps3 alone for is Final Fantasy. You know they are only going to be releasing it for the ps3 and nothing else and I love playing those games! (And now that they've finally made it so the main usable character can be interchangeable with any of the others so you can FINALLY play as a girl is refreshing to me compared to always being some smelly boy.)

And don't forget the wii will always be offering the Mario, Sonic, and Zelda titles (always a crowd pleaser with Super Smash Brothers, Mario Party, The new Mario vs Sonic Olympic games coming out, or basically any Zelda because it's always a hit). It would be almost a sin not to find a wii at some point anyway because you know they are going to come up with some hilariously fun titles just based on controller usage alone.

Too bad that can't just make a hybrid for all three where you can just purchase any game and know that it plays on your system so you don't have to worry what it's for. I can dream though I guess.

Going for PS3. We've always followed Sony and i'm content with that. Nintendo and X-Box consoles rarely have had games that interested me. And those that X-Box had namely Kotor and Halo came out on PC. And i prefer to play shooters and rping games on pc anyway.
But each has it's strengths and flaws.

Well it's hard to decide, since I like both the 360 and Wii. But if I had to pick one, I'd side with my Wii.

360 - Awesome for slick RPGs and FPSs galore.Fighting games are ok, I guess. I just like fantasy settings myself. With Halo 3 now released, I've already seen about a million matches online showing great support for the game. I like it, but only because I love to screw around like an idiot in Campaign. I'm not a big fanboy of the game, but it does have its qualities. Stepping away from Halo, the 360 has other great games, such as Gears of War, Dead Rising, and even Lost Planet to satisfy other peoples' tastes.

Wii - Most people prefer this because of either Galaxy or Brawl, but I chose it as my favorite because it was something new. Something we haven't seen before in a while. It was bringing something fresh to the table. They tried motion-sensing with the Power Glove, but the Power Glove is a failure compared to what the Wii has in store for itself. My only complaint about it is that it really needs a strong online community within it, which was one of the big N's problems in the first place (and this is coming from a Nintendo fan). But then again, Nintendo wasn't real deep in the online department to begin with so that's nothing new. Even though I love Galaxy and Brawl to death, I like the Wii because of the unique way it plays games now.

PS3 - I don't really prefer the PS3. Mainly because it doesn't have many games (except MGS4) that get me real excited and want me to purchase it. All the extra content on the console itself is cool, I agree with that. But it doesn't really offer much choices in the games, as most of the games are FPSs and football. Those aren't the kind of games I like, so the console itself doesn't appeal to me all that much.

So yeah, there's my opinions. Feel free to leave flame in my direction. =P

XD of course we are Nintendo buddies.

Each console has its strengths and glaring weaknesses, so its going to appeal to different people.

I work at a video game store, and i pretty much have to help someone get over this debate every day XD *shake fist*

I have a Wii and Ps3 (just bought one) cuz those systems pertain to what I like. The Wii needs some better games out right now in my opinion, Brawl and Kart can't come soon enough. Nintendo always is forced to bank on their own franchises....they still could use some better 3rd party help.
I like the PS3, I've done my homework. I want MGS4, FFXIII, and the new kingdom hearts will land on it too. Plus RE5 and Devil may cry 4 will be good multiplatform games too.
I like the 360, my roomie at school has one so I'll be rocking that too.

I can't really knock any system too bad...the heart wants what it wants.
People will knock consoles they don't have to justify the money they've spent on their current one...i hear it every day 🙂
