Which System Will Come Out On Top?

if there is any justice in this world it will be gamecube - Nintendo always came out on top because of there superb game quality, fantastic console power and amazing image. that is until sony came along, threw together a box of pure game processing power and said to the world "produce games!" - so they did...
its no justice, sony dont do anything to earn their title as game gods, they have never produced a game of note, the people who have made sony famous are 'Namco', 'Capcom', 'Eidos', 'SquareSoft', etc.... where as the people who have made nintendo gods of their art are themselves! they were the ones who did the Amazing 'Zelda OOT' and Mario64 and smash brothers etc...
even in this forum when ppl were asked what their faverout game of all time is/was - they almost everyone had at least one version of zelda in their list. why? because nintendo are the greatest games company of all time and they always will be.
needless to say, nobody can compete with sony's marketting and publicity stunts and reputation. but its sad when a console of inferior games, inferior power and inferior quality can win over gamecube!
ive always said - PS1 had 500 games 50 of which were brilliant - N64 had 100 games, and almost all of them were perfect. they dont waste there time with low quality rubbish. i saw a poll the other day - the three top games of all time - readers votes from a magazine - the top three games were Mario64, Zelda OOT, and Goldeneye - all on the N64. point proven...

Well
Playstation 2 is more powerful than lamecube for one thing. Also, sony must be doing something right cause PS2 is the market leader and will always be. If you want a system for 4 year olds and one good game a month, go with lamecube. If you want a good stream of games that come out each month, not crap games, get a PS2. As for mature games, sony is the king...Twisted metal black, GTA3, Half-Life, Silent Hill 2 to name just a few. As for lamecube, Luigis mansion is boring, Smash brothers melee is the same old game, just better graphics, and tony hawk 3 is unplayable on the AWFUL lamecube controller. After all, there IS a reason why PS2 is #1.......Duh!!! 😀

well first of all, the PS2 'isnt' more powerful than the GC the System Clock on the PS2 runs at 300 MHz and on the GC it runs at 405 mhz + the Maximum Polygon Rate on the PS2 is at 75 Million Polygons Per Second and its almost double that on the GC.
as for games - you cant honestly say that waverace, zelda and resident evil remake are childish??? they are all out (or coming out) on the game Cube.
you wont, and never will get a constant stream of good games coming out on the PS2.. you DO get a constant stream of games - but most are garbage. people love it cos it has alot of choice - but from its release, for almost a year - the only good game that came out for the PS2 was SSX and GT3... A Year!! thats pretty sad.
dont get me wrong - i own a PS2 with twisted metal black, Devil May cry, GTA3 and Jak and Daxter... and i think its great - im just stating facts...

Well at least you admit that! 😀 But seriously, I loved nintendo when super nintendo was around.....then I got a 64.....and 64 was pure crap. All the rpg's sucked ass (all 3!!) Horrible graphics, that a system by the name of "Playstation" (which was half as powerful BTW) surpassed.....which was sad. Oh, and all of them perfect?!? LOL....Superman 64, quest 64, mischief makers, battle tanks, I could go on and on. The only good games for the system were nintendo's......so you got 1 good game every 2 months.....all because dumb ass nintendo made their system cartridge-based, and not cd-rom. I personally thought both Zelda games on 64 sucked......and dont even get me started on how horrible the Banjo-Kazzoies were......lol.......and it looks like nintendo just wont learn, cause all the launch games suck and the new zelda looks downright AWFUL. The lamecube's controller is the worst I have ever seen......the d-pad is so small.....and fighting games WILL suck with that controller.......nintendo only makes controllers with thier games in mind......thats why 3rd party support is minimal. So there ya have it......I enjoyed all ten good games on 64.......While you were playing Quest 64 (the worst rpg EVER) I was playin Final Fantasy 7 (the BEST) . . . . . oh well, i guess its just difference of oppinion... i dont think all the games on the N64 were perfect, i think all the games made by Nintendo (or rare) were bloody good 🙂
and while you were playing FF7 - so was i, i had a PS at the same time 🙂 and i DO think FF7 is the best rpg ever made.
actually my 3 faverout games are MGS, FF7 and Gran turismo... they are all PS games - so im not totally one sided... i just dont think Sony deserve what they got, because they didnt work for it... all the other games developers did all the work.

My best guess would be Playstation 2 mainly because it has the most games. However its hard to bet against XBOX and Bill Gates. If Microsoft and their allies can whip out enough games fast enough they might be able to overtake PS2.
