While searching for tickling material on Kazaa....

...I unfortunately stumbled across something not tickling related at all-child pornography.
For starters, how someone can do something like this disgusts me beyond belief. I won't go into what I think of people who coerce children into this (not really the point of this post) but ask rather: What, if anything, can be done about this?
Can the government do anything about child pornography on Kazaa? It surely must be illegal, but then again, so is downloading music off Kazaa, and I don't exactly see people being taken to court in very large numbers concerning it.
Could the goverment even figure out who it IS who has this material on their computer? I believe you create an account when you sign up for Kazaa, but as long as you don't use your real name, I'm not sure how they would find out who it was (unless there is an electronic method I don't know of.) I mean, given a screen name, can they trace what you download anyway?
Does anyone know what to do if you do find that someone has material such as this on their computer (via Kazaa)?
Sorry for the long post, but this upset me greatly.

Go there....give them the details of what you found...specific to who had it listed, etc. They'll take it from there. That is a MAJOR felony! Trust me. They can and will follow up on it.

Nobody is anonymous on the internet.
And trust me, the government is doing plenty to prosecute kiddie-porn on Kazaa or anywhere else on the net.
If kiddie-porn crossed your screen, it's in your machine, temp files and such.
Clean up your machine and be more careful.

I've had shit-loads of kiddie-fiddler invitation e-mails and reported the of of them. In England we do it through the Internet Watch Foundation. Go for it Jorus, knock the bastards dead!
