I want those with feather awards to post here and see who has the highest feather award. Just thought it might be interesting to see all the different feather classes.

There are five levels below 1,000 posts:

1--Registered User
50--TMF Novice
150--TMF Regular
300--TMF Expert
600--TMF Master (although I have always contended that it should be TMF Mistress for women members)


At 1,000 posts and above, the designation is a type of feather.
There is a new level every 250 posts, from 1,000 to 9,750:

2,000--First Level Orange Feather

So almost half those levels have been attained by only milagros, and he's only got about 2/3rds of what he should? That's pretty astounding! Did anyone else lose similar amounts in this dread event?

And just an aside, it's pretty tough to read kurchatovium's diamond feather. I guess that's a reason to avoid getting there.

Limeoutsider (who rarely posts any more) lost about 16,000 posts, I think that was the second highest amount lost.

Others who lost more than 10,000 posts inclueded HisDivineShadow and K-Skate417. I may have forgotten somebody else in that category.

And just an aside, it's pretty tough to read kurchatovium's diamond feather. I guess that's a reason to avoid getting there.

Note that those feather colors don't work in Firefox. All use Foxians see is black for the titles. 'Tis like being colorblind...

chrisheaven may have lost close to ten thousand as well, but I can't quite remember. Should've taken a screen shot of the members list just before it happened. 😛

In December 2004 the TMF outgrew its server and crashed. After shutting off such things as the search utility and PM's, it still wouldn't run. So about 200,000 of the then existing 500,000 posts were pruned, all from the equivalent of the Silly Stuff Forum (which had a different name then).

This pruning solved the problem in the short run, but the TMF since moved to a different server with more capacity.

I have no idea why Chris says "it was worth it."

It was worth it so that the forum could be up and running again- I think I had about 12000 posts and went down to about 2000
