I always though him to be "dry and boring", but I guess that's just me.

I remember when he had a very short lived latenight show on one of the major networks many years ago (can't remember the name, but it may have been one of the first Fox latenight attempts). I loved his quick wit then... and was very glad to see him take The Daily Show spot. he’s perfect for it.

I generally watch Leno for his monologues, which he does well, and then switch to Letterman for the guests. I'm still kicking myself for missing Drew Barrymore when she was on Letterman and showed him her breasts. Lucky bastard.
