Hey gang,
ok, as most of you know BigNorm and I were something of an item. Well buggie thinks not anymore.
See, he hadn't been online for most of June, and when I email or PM him on this very site, I get ignored. Tonight, he's online and I ask him to come on MSN. I think you all can guess weather or NOT he did.
(This may seem harsh but there were other problems too.)
So Norm, if your reading this, sorry I had to tell you so publicly but you want me? come find me. I am done chasing.
This will probably get pulled for abuse or something but I just wanted to let you all know. Thankyou all for your support back in October.

Ignoring somebody is really not the way to tell them you don't want to be with them anymore. It shows how anti-social and inexperienced people are when they pull crap like that. If there was a legitimate reason for this, I would understand. But why did this happen? It leaves so many unanswered questions, and makes the pointless waiting excruciating. If it were me, I'd want a clean break.

I would actually wait to see if he had a legit. reason for the lack of communication.
In this was in person then yeah, I'd be annoyed. But via technology, there are a lot more valid reasons to why he hasn't answered your e-mails or replied back via IM.
Stuff like:

- MSN not being fully functional
- Events in person preventing me from talking back over IM.

etc.

Yes, he should've messaged you by now to why he hasn't spoken to you in a while but being a fellow man, I know we're pretty damn flawed and we will make mistakes like this. =/

But yeah, it's your choice so go with how you feel.

NOTE: I will be keeping a close eye on this thread as a things can easily get out of hand between the two of you (and any other member who chooses to participate). After a couple of days, I will be taking this thread down due to the fact that you're not meant to create threads to contact individuals (due to the purpose, I will allow it for the time being).

Hey TB.

Sorry to hear this. Sometimes, long distance relationships are hard to navigate.

A while ago I posted that I was in one with a guy from New Zealand. We had 5 great days in Feb when he was in NYC, and we honestly tried to keep it going. Talked on the computer daily, on the phone each weekend.

It was just too far, and not enough time together, and he decided to end it, and I agreed, it was too hard, and a new relationship shouldn't be that hard.

We've remained friends, still talk daily, and I'm still going to visit him in New Zealand this year.

Oh, he also said I can still tickle him when I get there. 😉

As for Cellardweeler's point, I believe that the only thing that's worse than meeting someone you hit it off with splendidly who lives a considerable distance away is never having met that person in the first place! (This is the voice of experience talking!)

i'm sorry bug bug...his msn could have been down...but yes he could have answered your messages here..do you guys talk on the phone? i know he lives a long way from you but....that might be one way of finding out..it doesn't sound like Norm to ignore you intentionally..there has to be a reasonable explanation for all this..you two were so happy together..

ya i saw that hon...i can't tell you why..if he is ignoring you on purpose that must hurt terribly...i won't say publicly what i think of that..

Thanks, but no worries.....it was a little rough at first, but the Kiwi and I are still great friends. In fact, we just had a 20 minute phone call a little while ago.

He once again said he'll let me tickle his feet when I get there. LOL

Wow Bug....I'm sorry to hear about this. My only advice is speak to the guy before you decide it's over once and for all...I KNOW he is crazy about you. He probably has agood reason--if you want me to talk to him, I will 🙂
