who writes better stories?

I have read a LOT of great stories since I have been fishing around in this community, and I was wondering what people thought about who makes the better author?

Do you prefer to read a story written by a lee who is writing from that perspective, or do you prefer to read a story written by a ler, written from that perspective, or perhaps you like them written in the third person?

and for just for fun, what influences your answer?

I know there is no right or wrong answer to this question, I am just curious about other people's perspective.

As for me, I think I generally prefer the third person, after that I think I prefer reading from the lee's perspective, even though I am a tickler. I think this is because from my opinion, a third person story can take you into the minds of everyone there, and I like that. I think I like the lee perspective because I am the type of person who is always concerned about what is going on inside whoever I am interacting with (tickling or otherwise) and I like to hear from that perspective.

All that being said, I think any perspective is great when written well, and I do think ultimately the author quality is most important.

we do have some great ones here!!!

keep writing 🙂

As a LEE, a LER and an author, I enjoy them all. The inspiration for my own stories often comes from my own experiences in some form or another. It's the LER in me who gets into the torment and teasing. It's the LEE in me who gets into the responses. And it's the author in me who, surprisingly enough, is able to convey the whole thing in an enjoyable (I hope) format.

Interesting thread, Slappy!

The bulk of my tales are third person, leaving me free to set up a story from all points of view. I do enjoy first person stories if the setting fits. My Memoirs and most of my more comedic ones are first person, which allows me to utilize a literary device known as "breaking the glass barrier"...adressing the reader from time to time, stepping out of the story.

I haven't written any strictly from the 'lees point of view, simply because I'm not a 'lee. I AM going to try it at some point, however, as my "Letting Go" story went over well, and I'm not a woman. You have to be careful when stepping into an unfamiliar role. The ladies and 'lees on the TMF have been a big help there, as it gives us writers a wealth of experience from which to draw.

Thanks for asking.😎

Welps...

As a mostly 'Lee, sometimes 'Ler, and very, very occasional author, I like a little bit of plot behind the story...I like it to be mostly innocent (a little NC/sexual connotation is fun sometimes too, of course, and a lot of people like to add a lot more of both). My favorite stories of all time have been the ones written from the 'Lers point of view (since I already have the 'Lee view, this helps to relate to "how the other half lives"🙂)
I don't have many experiences to draw from yet, but I do have a very vivid imagination (ask me about my dreams sometimes...I could write books with this stuff). I also prefer the story be reasonably well written, but this is less a requirement than one might think - I've read some incredible stories that barely grasped English. Anywho.....all this talk about writing and here I am, 99% of the time a reader...I talk like I know what I'm talking about...and I had y'all fooled, too, didn't I? 😉

Being a lover of variety, I would say I love all there scenarios and view points.

I'd love to see a Nylon Dungeon story written from a 'lee's point of view. Particularly if the author is a woman, as I believe a woman would have a perspective that a man would not. Any takers, ladies?

As a writer I tend to defer to third person for my tickling stories, so I can explore each perspective. Although I've had a couple of ideas for first person stories, and I'm just starting one of them.

As a reader, I can't say I have a preference. The important thing is that the author relates the characters effectively, however they choose to do so.

thanks everyone for responding to my thread. I enjoyed hearing your point of view.

I, too, tend to enjoy writing stories from the third person, one of the reasons for which is that it allows you to play both sides. With the privilage of an omniscient narrator, you always have the option of switching from following the tickler to the ticklee, or vice versa. I often stick with a single perspective anyway, but it's still nice to have the choice.
