This is gonna be the last season of that crappy show known as Dawson's Crack....I mean Dawson's Creek. Now if they will only get rid of Buffy "The preppy vampire slayer" and EverWood, maybe we can get some quality TV progamming.

God I hate those teeny-bopper shows.

To get quality TV, we'd have to get rid of teeny-bopper shows as well as "reality" shows and some of the shitcoms (no, that's not a misspelling), and replace them with PBS-type programs. But that won't help ratings any, will it? So get rid of those too, and the commercials and sponsors! Then we can have pledge drives. Are YOU willing to pay for quality TV? 😀

True. Check it out: Sarah Michelle Gellar is 26 and the show's been on for seven years. By that reckoning, she was 19 when she was playing a 16-year-old high-school sophomore. Ergo, the show hasn't had any teen characters for three years now.

Don't cheer yet: when Dawson's & Buffy BOTH go off this air this year, they'll probably be replaced by reality TV--which I maintain is as much of a contradiction in terms as hamburger steak, plastic silverware & military intelligence.

I started watching Buffy after it went into syndication, so I don't know it as well as I'd like. If you know it & don't like it, fair enough. If you don't know it & don't like it, that's just plain foolishness. Check the episode where an abused girl is rescued from her "loving" family who tells her she's a demon, and then talk to me about whether the show has any redeeming value.

I don't watch Dawson's any more. When I graduated college in '99, I lost touch of the friends I watched it with. It's gotten very different from the show I remember, so I haven't been able to follow it.

No, it changed networks two years ago. It was on WB (where Angel still is), but it switched to UPN. This time, however, it's gone for good. Sarah Michelle Gellar announced her resignation, followed within days by Josh Whedon's announcement that the story will end. No word yet on the future of Angel.
