Fave Doctors and fave Doctor Who themes

Fave Doctors: Sylvester Mccoy, Bill Hartnol, Colin Baker and Christopher Ecclston

Fave Themes: The Original, the Trial of A Time Lord (full virson) and the McCoy Theme.

for me it's Baker and Pertwee. I loved the class combined with humor that Pertwee oozed. and Baker was just plain fun...

Ah, but which Baker? 🙂

For me, the Trial of a Timelord theme tune comes a close second to the McCoy theme.

And my fave Doctor was and is Colin Baker - he gave the Doctor a much darker side than all the previous incarnations, while still having lighter moments (whereas McCoy's Doctor was also quite serious and dark, his lighter moments were a bit too comical...)

At Least I Didn't Mention Horton...oops.........

The One About The Pinball Wizard?????? Oh, No They're Taking Out The 'tommy' Guns!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! ( On The Bright Side My Dumbass Post Will Make All The Real Ones Seem Better).

Tom Baker's on first, Colin Baker's on second...
(I'm not asking Who's on second.)
Who's on first...and second.
(Tell me Who the guy on third is.)
They're all on the Tardis.
(Who?)
Yes.

The one tha came after Pertwee with the hat and scarf.

Ok...I didn;t realize there was more than one Baker...I stopped beign able to see Dr. Who after the the guy after Tom Baker (Peter Davidson is the name I want to say but can;t remember if it correct or not)

Peter Davison is indeed the guy who replaced Tom Baker. He struck me as dismally bland by contrast with Baker. He must not have caught on with the viewers stateside, for the series didn't continue on American television after that, at least not in my area. I used to watch the show on our PBS affiliate, KERA out of Dallas. Shortly after Davison's debut, the station went back to replaying episodes from the Jon Pertwee era. He and Tom Baker are the actors I think of as the Doctor. Hartnell and Troughton I've only seen in the later multiple-Doctor episodes. And I saw the wretched made-for-American-TV movie with some bozo I can't remember. I've also seen one of the feature films from the sixties with Peter Cushing, who would have been an excellent Doctor with a better script.

Hmm. The 5th Doctor. Not sure / He had his moments, but... he wasn't quite believable It hink he'd do better as the Doctor if he did it now than he did than, if that makes any sense

oh. PS. Paul McGann was the 8th Doctor. He wasn't that bad, but he was let down by a bad script

Peter Davison...hmm, he was a good Doctor, but by no means great. His portrayal of the Doctor was a little bit too...human, I think, could've done with more alien behaviour.

Paul McGann - the whole of that TV movie was a travesty to the legend of Doctor Who. Christopher Ecclestone (sp?) is the official 8th Doctor in my book at any rate. While McGann acted alien enough, the movie itself just plain sucked - it was nothing at all like Doctor Who, just using the name. Again, IMHO.

Others opinions on whether or not the McGann movie should be considered canonical by fans?

MgGann does well in the big finish plays. An interesting point in the TVM. The TVM would have been better had Sylvester McCoy been in it throuout (apparantly the production staff said, couldn't he just say, "sorry you missed," when he got shot. Oh, and a total rewrite would have been needed.

Though I have to say I did like the TARDIS in that one, but it was too big and had too few roundels. The TARDIs needs roundels in the walls.

I was thinking though. Since Gallifrey is no more, where is all the Artron Engergy now? All that regenerative energy? Well, it must have gone into the Doctor (and possibly the Master and the Rani and... ye gods... the War Chief.) The destruction of Gallifrey is a good way to get past the 12 regeneration (13 incarnation) limit

It's got a bass line only with no mellody and some interesting additions
