ok im not real good with the jargon for using hacha. i have an evaluation version of hacha. Anyhow, i save all the files to one file. i dont change anything i just plain old save them to one file. i then open up the version of hacha shown in this thread: http://www.tickletheater.com/showthread.php?t=16705 . This .exe version of hacha is then opened up in my evaluation version of hacha so that i can try to follow the directions that are shown on those 6 steps. however, i dont have the first .0 file looking like the way they do in the tutorial. Mine looks just like .1 and .2 etc. Also when i do try to select the file to be joined as in screen shot 3, my folder is always blank. However if i bring it up on its own separate there are files in it. Any idea as to what im doing wrong?

Don't feel bad about having as hard time using Hacha becuase I have never mastered it either. I think there are too many steps to go through and for my money Hacha is not a user friendly application.

If there is no .0 file, then Hacha won't be able to work, because it can only detect the .0 file. You probably missed downloading one of the files somehow -- maybe try re-downloading all of them.

Best of luck,

Yeah, it should work fine as long as you download all files to the same folder. But of course, as val said, it can't work without the .0 file.

When you have all of the files in the same folder, just double-click on the .0 file, or start hacha, and click join there.

Have you unzipped the files first? In your post, I don't see that you have unzipped them, using winrar or winzip and extracted them into the same folder?

I usually create a new folder on my desktop to extract the files into. When you unzip a file delete the zip file or it will become more confusing to you. Once all are unzipped and the zip files are deleted left click on the file numbered "0" and Hacha will do the rest.

Here is a useful instruction I got some time back:
Ok, here is what I do.

I have WinZip and WinRAR installed on my PC. They both add a very usefull entry to the right-click menu in the explorer: "Extract here" (WinRAR is able to extract zipfiles, but the other way around doesn't work: WinZip is not able to unzip RARfiles). I put all the zipfiles in the same folder. In the explorer I select all files and then right-click one of them. I then select "Extract here" and all zipfiles are unzipped in one action.

The next step I have made easy as well. For hacha splits it is simple. Once you have used hacha once, it has registered the .0 files. Double-clicking each .0 file (which has the hacha icon) and the splits are automatically joined into the original clip. Piece of cake.
